Source? Everything I've seen over the last couple of days is he won't be signing a new deal.

I've also seen that Bayern won't sell regardless though.

    As for the question:

Player to sign: Any decent CB or defensive midfielder... we're full of holes in that department atm

Rumoured arrival: If we get any one of Kroos/Gundogan/Pogba I'd be over the moon. Would be pretty happy with Shaw too.

Rumoured leaver: I don't want to lose Kagawa. He's been outstanding this last month

Happy to see go: Ferdinand's had his day. Nani & Young can gagf too, provided we can replace them

Well Gundogans signed an extension so he wont be going. I wonder if that would've happened without barca's embargo

  3. Baxter MJ Deane

    He'll go next summer.

Tbf, that would leave 75mill for 2 CBs, if the rumours that they're looking at spending 200mill on an overhaul are true.

    Moyes with 200m

There's lots of reports varying form 120-200. £165 was the last one i heard. I guess a couple of players might be sold, but tbh sounds like most of our leavers are gonna be free transfers.

Got to steer clear of major losses next season though. Without CL income we don't want to run foul of FFP.

    - Of any player, the one you'd most like to see your side sign.

    Probably Lukaku.

    - Of all the rumours, which one do you hope is most true.

Fabianski is about the only one I've even heard that might be vaguely true. Everything else depends on money from someone else leaving.

    - The one player being rumoured to leave that you'd most to keep.

    Adam Lallana.

    - The one player you believe is most expendable and would not mind seeing go/being pushed towards the door.

    Pablo Osvaldo.

I could have sworn you were a City fan

Honestly, I'm barely a Southampton fan. I tend to follow players I like much more than clubs, but the Saints are about the only team I have any real ties to because my uncle is a fan.

I'd sort of be surprised if Moyes is the main handler of transfers tbh.

Ah ok. Who would you think will be sold?

With regards to FFP, isn't there some sort of grace when you exit from competitions (i.e money) that you were in last season? So if they were to finish top 4 next season they would be fine?

Lukaku to Southampton would be huge. Can't see it happening personally, but it would be fantastic for Southampton.

Yeah, it's pipe dream stuff, but that's the point of the question. Replacing Lambert long-term is probably the most pressing issue (so long as everyone else is kept), and Lukaku is probably the ideal signing in that regard. European qualification might've made it slightly more realistic, but there's no chance as things stand.

That sounds more like the budget he's used to working with.

  14. Uppercut CB Faldo

I think Lambert has a few years left in him. Sheringham went on until he was 40 IIRC and they're very similar players.

United need a Top CB, One quality Creative CM (#8), One Starting LB atleast and then if there is money left a Top Quality winger, one young quality defensive midfielder.

5 additions would be great. Out of those that linked it would go -

Luke Shaw/Ricardo Rodriguez , William Carvalho, Toni Kroos /Ander Herrera/Koke/Rakitic, Reus/Cuadrado/Di Maria, Mangala/Benatia/Ginter all been linked times for 4 of those roles though sm might not be really top class and many might not be realistic signings.

As for departures Vidic is leaving, Ferdinand and Giggs should retire, Evra should leave too, Anderson as well ofourse. On top of that Young should be sold.

I won't be as gutted as others on here if Kagawa leaves either. Mata's signing has basically ensured he won't be used properly. But i would prefer if Moyes develops sm bloody balls and Sells one of RVP or Rooney..... Or the same problem will persist next season.

I would sell Rooney out of the 2 but RVP might wanna leave.

Also it seems Hernandez will leave (Can't blame him), Nani too and might have to sell one of the CM's if we bring 2 in. (Cleverley ? as Fletch and Fellaini are unlikely to be.)

So yeah, big restructuring needed. Money to sm extent should be there for it but Moyes ????

People laughed at me last summer when I tried to suggest I'd rather have Rooney over RvP

I'd disagree. Maybe in the Championship, but not at the top level.

Must keep Lloris. Wouldn't bet on it though.

    Lloris really is top class.
