Your Club's Summer Transfer Window

Rather than just speculation in the rumour thread I thought I'd start this.

Basically, for your side I want you all to name (within the scope of realism):

- Of any player, the one you'd most like to see your side sign.
- Of all the rumours, which one do you hope is most true.
- The one player being rumoured to leave that you'd most to keep.
- The one player you believe is most expendable and would not mind seeing go/being pushed towards the door.

Feel free to add your own.

i.e. Player available on a free you'd like to see your side target.

 

1. Would absolutely love to see us sign Diego Costa as I think he's a phenomenal player. Don't believe that money or wages would be an issue but Chelsea might and there's a reason the rumours have died down.

2. All the recent talk (besides getting a top class striker) is on who will replace Arteta/supersede Flamini/partner Ramsey and I'd love for the rumours about us reigniting our interest in Lars Bender to be true, failing that Gundogan is being touted a lot but it remains to be seen how his back injury heals up.

3. Has to be Sagna. Fabianski is the best second choice keeper in the league but meh, you can cope without your second choice keeper a lot better than you can the best right back in the league for the past 6 years. Give him what he wants, the bloke is a hero.

4. Obviously Giroud has been the popular hate figure over the last few weeks but I think we'd do well to keep him as a second choice. He's not a bad player at all and he does so much good stuff in our system with his back to goal. With Ramsey and Walcott fit he looked a different player. For me it'd have to be Podolski or Vermaelen. We could probably get good money for both and free up some decent wages, especially if its Podolski who goes. Both are more than good enough to start elsewhere and are becoming increasingly frustrated by limited game time. I'd be sad to see either go (Podolski is phenomenal for the dressing room and Vermaelen is club captain) but it's probably best for all involved. Particularly with Vermaelen as it is only a matter of time before the rest of the world realise he's a bit of a liability.

5. Free transfer is tricky. All the quality players available for nothing this summer will either be on ludicrous wages or in a position I don't feel we need to strengthen or just not good enough. I'd take Eduardo back I reckon, he'd love to come back and would be a good squad member and we'd probably have space for him with Bendtner and Chu-Young surely leaving.

 

Kroos has just signed a new deal hasn't he? You getting him is outside the realms of realism, from my POV anyway

Who? He's been genuinely quality whenever he's been called upon in the last 2/3 years and I don't think too many other second choicers would draw attention from multiple CL clubs.

A really good CB is even more of a priority than a CM now with Vidic and probably Ferdinand retiring. I don't really know who would be available- maybe Mehdi Benatia, to just throw a highly-rated name out there. Garay is another we've actually been linked to. It's hard to know who's realistic but hopefully there'll be someone out there who doesn't mind stepping out of the CL. Moyes leaving is surely a must if we're going to attract anyone worth buying.

Toni Kroos obvz, but that's not actually realistic.

Kagawa. If he left I'd cry. It would just sum up Moyes's sucking away everything exciting or creative about the club and replacing it with dour, rigid shite that doesn't even get results.

Evra, Giggs and Ferdinand are all pretty much done. Anderson wouldn't be missed either.
