In comes Piyush Chawla for some back up spin/allroundering/benchwarming. Allows a bit of variety in our attack for the spinning tracks. Code: Name Matches Runs Average Wickets Average 1. Robin Bist provides the team with more firepower with the bat, and will enter the squad as team leader in dodgy suncream/facepaint. Code: Name Matches Runs Average Wickets Average 1. Yeah you do have four seamers in your first eleven already which stems the need for like-for-like replacements a bit. I think the Saxena pick was fine due to this; the Morgan pick wasn't really needed with Bist and Ronchi already there though. You still have two picks left to fix up the balance of your reserves anyway.
We could probably do with another seamer and an opener or something like that. But we should be fine to pick those up in the remaining rounds.
Matt Coles comes in as the reserve seamer, and is also a handy lower order batsman. Code: Name Matches Runs Average Wickets Average 1. Azhar Ali 51 2904 34.16 8 41.75 2. Trial teams will probably involve Steyn sitting out as he's a certainty, want to give Ronchi, Saxena, Bist and the two seamers a go somewhere. Testing Clarke out as first change bowler might be useful too.
