Probably not going to win. Probably. But Weeman and I are all in this together until the bitter end, getting our heads in the game to draft a reasonable team.

    What team?

    4. Ashwell Prince

    6. Matt Prior (wk)
    7. Rikki Clarke (5)
    8. Tim Bresnan (c) (1)
    9. Dale Steyn (2)
    10. David Masters (3)
    11. Simon Kerrigan (4)

    12. Luke Ronchi

Our drafting philosophy is sticking to the stuff we know.

Are you predicting to only need 1 player?

Latest additions to the Wildcats squad:

Keeper Matt Prior is the second South African in as many picks for the Wildcats.

Coming in to potentially captain the side, lead the bowling attack, it's everyone's favourite Yorkshireman allrounder Tim Bresnan.

Bresnan will actually be great. You could realistically bat him at 7, and Prior at 6, and have an extra bowling AR too.

It's a bit of a weird one IMO. Whilst Bresnan would be more than capable of 7, I don't think it'd work out all that well for the team. Prior would be a reasonable but unspectacular 6, and you'd be able to fit more bowling in. But does he really need to with Steyn in the team and Bresnan already selected? No IMO.

Yep it does all seem quite strange. However I'm pretty certain that Prior is a better batsman than whoever his "6th batsman" ends up being. So is it more worth it having a specialist batsman at number 7, or another, capable fifth bowler at number 8?

    Decisions, decisions.

Who are we? The wildcats! Who are we going to beat? The wildcats!

I think ultimately it allows him to play a bit of a hack bits and pieces cricketer at 7 or 8 now if he likes, and he can pick up one of those in the real late rounds - as in, after Round 11, giving him the ability to start recruiting his depth players a little earlier than most.

Bresnan also has potential to play in the middle order. :ninja:

Happy with what we've managed so far though.

Means our positions of strength are going to be keeper and two seam bowlers, which I'd have taken at the beginning of the draft.

  17. Captain SSD Dong

Prior at 7? Going to be hard to pick 6 better batsmen from here on, even if you leave the two other bowlers for last.

    BREZZY LAD.
