Not if 1) I don't get the bloody fixtures working like they're meant to and 2) Magic doesn't post soon

Of course, I could just take his previous team details as his finalised one. It's mostly the first issue.

What's the problem with using the schedule that FM generates?

I can't control the distance between games (which for the most part is set at a week). Means people will be able to use the same team over and over without any penalties.

Can't you just increase training intensity?

    I'll run another test, then.

How did the testing go lad?

Raising the training intensity too high meant there were too many injuries. What I might do is work out a formula that would calculate how tired players become that would work how I want it to. I'll make it so while the matches are played on the dates the game sets, I'll pretend they are played on dates I've decided on so that I can keep control of energy levels (e.g I'll adjust energy levels like the players had 5 days of rest even if the games were actually 13 game days apart).

Sounds like it'll work good. Has everyone got their orders in so we can trial it?

Wait, have I even got mine in?

    Escath, any update?

Probably won't be able to do it this weekend.

An update. Here's what I am currently considering for the energy formula:

Energy is out of 10000 (100%). Each day, players will move up 300 (3%) if they don't play a game. If they play 90 minutes, they will lose 2100 (21%). If they play any more or less than that, they will lose the corresponding amount. For example, if a player gets subbed off after 60 minutes, they'll only lose 1400 (14%).

There will be 5 days between league games and 4 days on either side of a cup game. So, assuming a player plays two league games in a row, from 100%, they'll go down to 79% after the first game and have 4 days to recover to 91% for the second game.

Of course, this would mean that fitness is ingored in the calculation of energy.

    Any thoughts?

    sounds reasonable

I think recovery should be a little bit higher than 3% a day, but sounds fairly good.

How does 350 sound? Alternatively, the 300 applies to players who play on the day?

Should just leave the percentages the way they are after a match IMO. That way we can incorporate player fitness levels.

I think 350 recovery would be perfect.

I already explained how this won't work. I cannot make the fixtures work how I want them to so the game makes its own fixtures and a lot of the time they are a week between games, which pretty much means you can field the same squad every game. This energy thing I'm doing is my workaround that lets me dictate how much players can play before they need to be rested.
