ROUND 17: Arheiner - Nicholas Otamendi Eds/Verigoat - Diego Forlan Theo/Alex - Shunsuke Nakamura Incey - Carlos Marchena Jabba - Joaquin Magic - Rivaldo Speirz - Vicente Gazza - Thiago Motta SM/Mousey - Adrian Mutu Julian - Ludovic Giuly Marto - Richard Dunne Marcuss/Fungus - Eduardo BoyBlunder - Aarron Lennon Bovver/Das09 - Didier Zokora Worst Pick of the Round - Probably in terms of ability Lennon, I mean hes quick and he can cross a bit, which is all well and good for a winger. But he wont be able to do anything else, and even though you might tell him dont do anything else. Hes always going to need to help out. That said he is still a better pick than Theo Walcott and that was in a really early round, so dont feel too bad about it Best Picks of the Round 3 - None - Players are joint second as it was so close 2 - Eduardo + Forlan - Both so close in terms of abliity I didnt want to pick either one in front of the other. Both Very Capable strikers to come off the bench. Will prob get a few goals off the bench each 1 - Rivaldo - Even though hes old and as the season goes on will probs get injured a bit due to his natural fitness not being what it used to be, He will do quite a bit. His actual ability is up there with some of the early round picks
Nah, Rivaldo Number 1 is 1st and rivaldo didnt say number 3 until you just pointed that out :ninja: Reason why he is over even though his actuall fitness is worse is that these are all meant to be sub players, and they will be on the pitch for a lot less time than starters so the fitness ect means a lot less. Its all about impactablity which Rivaldo has a lot more than the other 2
Eduardo and Forlan are of far more use to a squad though. If one of your frontline players gets injured/suspended then Eduardo/Forlan's ability to play 90 minutes compared to Rivaldo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the difference in their impact ability. I personally think that Eduardo and Forlan will have more of an impact off the bench anyway, Rivaldo is hardly the type of player to take advantage of tired legs.
Yeh but every round you disagree with Veri's dewcision and say your player should be the best pick of the round. Quite lolworthy.
Obviously Marcuss is right and im just making things up on the spot so he doesnt get every best pick of the round...
Not everyround, just I'm not going to argue the case for somebody else's player unless it's blatant. Id rather have Jovetic than Simao, when Simao was the best pick of the round and Jovetic wasn't even in the top 3. I can't quite remember who else was in that round but I don't think either of them were the best but Jovetic > Simao. In this round both Forlan and Eduardo are better players than Rivaldo. Pretty simple. So yes, accuse me of doing something I don't. Smooth Blunder.
Everytime I've opened this thread there's been an argument between you and someone else saying your player should have been #1. I agree with the last one, but not that Simao is worse than Jovetic. And I don't expect you to think you do it, because you never think you do.
I reckon Veri's roundups are quite insightful. Gives you an interesting perspective that isn't your own. At the end of the day, it's only opinion, and should be treated as such
