    Italy are closing in on the UEFA coefficient points needed to overtake England

    How much of an impact would this have on English clubs?

    Will English clubs start taking the Europa league more seriously?

    I think having only 3 go into the Champions League would make it a lot more interesting. I can't see it happening though. The top English clubs are a lot better than the ones from the Serie A. I reckon Germany are at a bigger risk.

    The onus is really on the likes of Spurs and Liverpool to perform in the Europa this year. Otherwise their premier league existence is in danger of being redundant.

    Oh cabs, so much wrong with this post.

    Anyway, let's hope it happens. The Premier League deserves to crash and burn and hopefully this will be the start of it.
