What was the year he was basically the face of the NRL because the other two had to be dropped because of off the field stuff that put the game in disrepute?

Love em or hate em he's done a lot for the game.

Actually think Manu has been one of our better players this season :p

  3. Fiery GR Smith

    He is every season

  4. Jabba HJ Bots

    lol no

  5. Fiery GR Smith

Of course he is. He now needs only four more tries this year to complete the unprecedented feat of scoring 10 or more tries in 10 consecutive seasons. And he's getting better each season.

  6. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Wouldn't even make the QLD or NSW side.

  7. Mr Fourex MR Fourex

A bit slow in here ...eh?

  8. Fiery GR Smith

    Good bump.

    MOM. WAG.

  9. Old Mate M Perry

    Sums it up well.

  10. Fiery GR Smith

    Lol ^. As if.

Equal with Steve Renouf for tries now. WAG.

  11. Fiery GR Smith

Was probably our best player last season too tbh.

  12. Magic AJ Parker

That is remarkable after 9 games. Usually an error prone player will make somewhere between 20-30 errors a season and he's already about to crack that a third of the way into the season.

Manu will always make more errors than the average player. We all know that. But I am a bit surprised it's that many tbh. I have watched every Warriors game this season and he has been one of the best on the field in virtually all of them. He has been getting himself involved a lot and maybe trying too many risky plays, so that may explain some of it.

He is also near the top of the try scoring and line break stats list so has been more than making up for his errors. He's an absolute gun for us tbh, and I wouldn't trade him for anyone.

  14. Magic AJ Parker

    I'm not surprised you're surprised.

You thought Greg Inglis stripped the ball of him after Inglis's pinky brushed the ball in Vatuvei's possession, then moments later lauded him for tackling a player after he made an absolute cluster fuck of an error that lead to said player even having the ball in the first place.

It's not hard to see how you missed the 19 errors in 9 games.

  15. Fiery GR Smith

Inglis did strip the ball tbh. Yes, you could say that Manu should have been carrying it more securely, but it was a refereeing error. If the ref hadn't fucked up there that "error" would not be included in his stats.

And yes he did spill an awkward ball that was drilled at him from point blank range. Anyone would have struggled to pick that up tbh. He then more than made up for it by making a try saver tackle that only a player of his immense strength could have made.

I like him as a player but he is so overrated at the same time.

10+ in 10 consecutive seasons is impressive in all fairness.

Only player to do it I believe!

Reckon it's a testament to his durability as much as anything else.

Not many outside backs (especially with this work rate) go 10 seasons without missing the best part of at least one season somewhere./
