    But also because Australia have Cronk in the squad and Sheens has pretty much said fuck you to Pearce

    I don't mind that much that DCE seems to be the fourth half, as such; I just don't think they need four halves in a relatively small squad, especially with two specialist hookers there as well.

    I'm not saying he should be there either, just that he has a lot more promise than Pearce.

    I guess the 4th half is there as a back-up 3rd half, if Lockyer doesn't play.

    I wasn't really a big DCE fan but the finals did convert me a bit into at least recognising he's better than Pearce. I just think it's a bit of a waste of a spot/token pick though.

    It is a bit of a shame for NSW as I think Hopoate has the skills to go down as a great, though he still has the opportunity to come back and dominate, it is just a question of whether the break will hinder his development.
