Scrum infringement from the Scots. An easy penalty for Jake Luffman. He lines this one up and levels the scores.

But the SR XV give the three points right back. Off side from Paddy Orr. Chris Paterson easily slots this over and gives the Scots the lead again

    SR XV 10 - 13 Scotland

Only 10 minutes left on the clock now.

    Do something team!

Hate these wet weather games. They're always so dull compared to matches in dry conditions.

    Ugh NH rugby.

    75:30:

Hugo Southwell breaks the line, but great cover defence from Blunder sees him gain very little. He ends up passing off a hospital pass, which is well taken by Chris Cusiter who is absolutely nailed by a marauding Benny Read...

...Luffman passes to Ames who a couple of minutes ago was looking knackered. Right now though, he shows a great turn of pace to beat the fresh legs of Dan Parks. Ames gains a few metres and passes a great ball off to Al Farnsworth.
Farnsworth has far too much pace for Johnnie Beattie and gains another 6 or 7 metres. Good cover defence here and he lets off a weak pass to Regan Hutchinson...

Hmmm slow game is slow tstl.

...Hutchinson does very well to hold that ball down by his ankles. He's got no momentum and immediately offloads to the oncoming Gareth Weaver. Great call, great pass. Well worked move that.

Weaver palms off Max Evans and then slams past Chris Cusiter. Rory Lamont comes over with a great piece of defence, but Weaver superbly offloads to Blunder. Only 5m from the try line now and the Scottish defence is in disarray...

Come on kids easy 5 from here.

...Blunder is being manoeuvred towards touch here by Graeme Morrison. Blunder looks tired. Callum Laing is there on his shoulder though and Blunder passes off to his Spartans teammate.

Laing is at full speed as he crashes into Morrison, blasting him out of the way. Hugo Southwell is the last man, and he's sent crashing to the ground as Laing bursts over the line!

His 2nd try of the match!!

    Is that the winning points?

Luffman takes the conversion and nails it.

    SR XV 17 - 13 Scotland

The Scots need a try with 3 minutes left on the clock.

80:00 Penalty to Scotland from 20m out. 3 points is no good to them, so Southwell kicks for the corner. Line out on the 5m line. What can the Scots do with the last set piece of the match?

The siren goes for full time as the line out forms...

  17. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

...Disaster for Scotland. The line out is called 'Not Straight'. That's full time folks and a rather uneventful win for the Seasonal Rugby XV. They'll take the series too, but can they whitewash the Scots?

    SR XV 17 - 13 Scotland.

  18. Gazza GJ Weaver

Whitewash on the cards for sure

No doubt in my mind that a white wash is imminent.
