    So I just ran into SKD's dad who used to coach me back in the day and we had a good chat about what's going on. Firstly, he confirmed the obvious that the players want Hastings gone and are actually looking forward to playing with Keary (yuck). More worryingly though, he said that Robbo has basically lost the players. They don't understand why he is coaching exactly the same way he was in 2013. He has done nothing different at all and that was fine and obvious to see when we were winning. However, now we aren't, he still hasn't changed a thing. They reckon he is crumbling under the pressure and they are surprised by it.

    He also said that other than that Pearce thing, the preseason was a total mess. The players got told to cut down way too much weight and that has hugely impacted their go forward. I think if he doesn't do something very differently next year he's going to get the boot.

    How long is Copley signed for? I'm just trying to get an idea of the chances of Mitchell being wasted next year.

    Copley will probably keep Joey Manu out of a First-grade spot but I can't see him having any impact on Latrell Mitchell's position in the team.

    At the end of the day with all things considered Latrell Mitchell is the first name you'd be writing down on the team sheet out of our current group of backs.

    I still think Mitchell should be the fullback. Some of the attacking plays he put on this year were a thing of beauty.

    Yeah I agree. I'd say he will be continually swapping with Michael Gordon during games. He just really needs to work on his fitness in the offseason.

    So Souths have banned all our junior clubs from entering the Souths Jnr RL from next year onwards because they're made we took Nat Butcher from them.

    Will be interesting to see where this goes.

    Yeah I was having an argument about this the other day. It's still under negotiation so hopefully they wont go through with it. Something like 700+ kids would be lost to the game.

    Souths Jnrs have told us to reapply with some certain conditions involved. Will be interesting to see what those are.

    Nat Butcher won RPLA U20s player of the year yesterday too. Great timing :D

    The SCC only goes down as low as 13s so a lot of kids from 6s-12s would miss out.

    Yeah I got some intel from the pres of cloey Crocs today. He said that it was a bit misconstrued. Usually when the contract is up every two years, Souths juniors usually just hand over a new contract to the roosters clubs and say 'sign here'. This year they were unhappy with both the poaching of players and also the behaviour of some Paddington colts teams so they have requested all clubs to reapply with those two issues being fixed. So everything will be fine.
