    Your an Aussie I just noticed - sorry I am new to this forum and don't know people. Yep that is as good a reason as any to pick a team. Wellington are perennial under performers and I say this with some authority living in wellington the public here are not so much fickle with the team as actually non plussed about it. In my cricket team there is one wellington lions fan.

    In Hamilton - Waikato players are gods. Could be something to do with the more rural background in Hamilton.

    Unloyal cocksuckers clearly. Just like those fags that bitch and moan about the Canes. I've been positive about the change and excited, we've done pretty well so far, considering. We have lots of young potential talent now, it's actually the best thing that could have happened (getting rid of the likes of Nonu, Weepu, Hore) and so on. I'd still take Gear However.

    At the end of the day Wellington is in my heart, it is my heart. I'll always support them, no matter what. I was there when we lost to Canterbury in the final (7-6) that was a sublime season as well.

    i don't have any teams that I hate - like you do with Cantabs.

    They are all NZ teams -

    Top 5 teams

    Waikato
    BOP
    Northland
    Taranaki
    Southland

    Bottom few
    Cantabs (too big and they are basically their super XV side)
    Wellington -Apathetic fans apart from you and Heef and my cricket captain
    Tasman - Just want them to dry up and fold - sucking money out of NZRFU coffers.

    To be fair, I still find the Wellington fans apathetic. Fairweather fans largely. That's why I always try and take in some Heartlands games every year. No fairweather fans in Te Kuiti.

    Not any more. They're doing okay now. You need to look at Southland, Otago and even Canterbury for the current financial drain. Much bigger problem than Tasman ever were.

    My main problem and teams like Auckland have this problem also is our stadium is too big for ITM Cup games. For example there was 22000 people at the canes game against the Saders. With a capacity of 35000, and being a Super 15 match it was a pretty decent crowd, the stadium still looks half empty. Whereas a smaller stadium like the new Christchurch one (which is 18k I believe) means it sells out and the atmosphere is just that much better.

    I'm not really talking for Super 15 games but for ITM cup games a smaller stadium would be more ideal.
