Lol watch Daley get an option for a third year now. Clueless cunt.

Robson was zinging them but there was nothing slow about Brailey’s service lol. Get out of here with your nonsense

Cleary definitive man of the series

  4. Magic AJ Parker

    Not slow, just slower.

I was literally calling for Carrigan after 15 minutes. In his first 4 runs, Cotter got driven back three times. The only one he didn't was because he knocked on before NSW had a chance to drive him back. That and watching Capewell make 4m a carry and knock on 400 times.

I honestly thought Nanai and Carrigan had missed the bus. Slater was prank tonight.

This was his best Origin game imo. I don't think NSW were overly sensational tonight but he was in everything for them. Really stood up and shook off the Mitchell Pearce's.

Lang Park turning into a happy hunting ground now for NSW is just the icing on the shit sandwich. Crowd full of yuppy cocksuckers, no atmosphere. What's it cost a family of four these days, 12, $1500? Way to go administrators. All the while putting jack shit back into the grass roots.

Moses long kicking game was phenomenal, that was the key to unlocking Cleary too. Big distance with hang time. Drove qld back more than Clearys kicks would have and more than that freed Cleary up from the 5th tackle do be a bit more of 5/8ths role and sneak around the edges.

Still some brain dead shufflings with injury. Koula was shitting himself before he got on, Crichton shouldve gone back there. Ill also necer understand why back rowers defend at centre when an outside back goes down. The 5/8 or half should slide one wider.

Bloody good to win though. Build Nathan his statue

Yeah I think Moses taking the kicking duties helps simplify Cleary's game but also stops him getting roughed up a bit after the kick which I think can get in his head. Definitely his best game in a Blues jersey and shook off the Pearce curse.

Yeah Moses kicked us to death. The distance he generates is wild. Turned several mediocre sets into great ones in terms of field position.

Qld's kicking game was diabolical. The two kicks we actually got a result from were half-shanks.

The gross miscalculation of not picking a fullback as part of the 6 man bench aside, I thought the Blues nailed their bench rotations.

The Maroons however were pretty puzzling. Get Walsh coming in for Walker for the HIA, but to then take Ponga off when he was cleared was very fucking bizarre. I thought Ponga was QLD’s most dangerous

Yeah pre-game Daley said they were coming in with a new bench rotation, didn't believe him at all but apparently he did learn his lesson.

And yeah Walsh was an odd one. Walsh actively pushed Munster out of the way for the kick that ended up bouncing to Best (which admittedly was a decent kick), so he obviously had the intention to dominate the playmaking.

Really? He didn't really do much.

Odd they passed on the conversion for the try on the Siren. Would have given Cleary the sole highest individual points in a decider.

If Daley did the interchange that Slater did, he'd have been hung off the Harbour Bridge. Slater is a myth as a coach.

He's not a myth. If Ponga doesn't cop that pus send off, he'd probably be 4 series from 5. 3 from 5 is still pretty good considering.

He just totally underestimated the loss of Collins. I think Billy is great at recognising potential in the backs, and not so good when it comes to forwards. Having slugs like Capewell and Nikora out there for 60-80 when we've got Nanai, Luki, Fifita, etc. And playing that small ball shit with Cotter, Loiero and Plath was criminal. How do you lose Collins and then not play Carrigan or Finefeuiaki?

As soon as Slater, Daley, Fittler, Walters etc. have/had a team getting chewed through the middle their reaponse is to go ham on small, mobile forwards. Slater did it in game 2 when Tino went off for a HIA and it was immediately noticeable.

I just don't get it. The idea that it's better to have a half-fucked Cotter or Yeo out there with two other locks instead of fresh, big men because of 'mobility' and lateral movement in defence is the biggest load of shit misunderstanding of how the game works. If you can't get forward, nothing else matters. Plath and Cotter are all heart and effort but expecting them to contain Haas, AFB and Murray is borderline insane.

Tbf, Capes played out of his skin the first 2 games. Nikora was average at best in G1, and solid in G1. Nanai needed more time. Playing Loiero over Carrigan was puzzling.

Would Trindall be playing for Queensland if he played for the Roosters?

Capewell was average in game 1. And good in game 2 imo. Nikora was awful in 1 and 3 and did bugger all but tackle in 2. He came up with some of the dumbest plays I've ever seen in Origin, and offers nothing with the ball.

Made it even harder watching Fifita tear Newcastle's edge apart, today. Our edges offered fuck all with the pill. Zero threat. Still, it's a secondary concern. How any coach can sit down to pick an Origin team and not have:

    8.Prop
    10.Prop

    15.Prop
    16.Prop
...written in concrete is beyond me.
