Pick and stick works when you apply it to players who are proven Origin performers AND not washed up. Myles is washed up, and O'Neill was never proven at Origin level. He didn't deserve any loyalty, especially when, as EWS said in that quote, the guy only played because of injury. O'Neill was quoted as saying his defence has been poor and he needs to improve it for Origin and yet he still went out there and defended like a complete arsehole. Red line through his name. Slow, no ball skills and cannot tackle. Disgraceful selection.
I won't be at all surprised if the only change they make is O'Neill. I'm happy enough for Lillyman to stay. Myles needs to be benched or dropped though. Guerra needs to fuck off to reserve grade.

Small player pools don't account for Meninga's recent Test side. Is it overplayed? Yes. Is it a myth brought about solely by success and fewer options? No.
