Here's the teams from last year's first North/South game. Bolded players would no longer be eligible for Norths.

    1 Ishan Narang
    2 Eddie Morris
    3 David Dafter
    4 James McDougal
    5 Sam Verigotta
    6 Simon Laing
    7 Callum Laing
    8 Brett Gemmell
    9 Jake Luffman
    A Ed Ames
    B Al Farnsworth
    C Steve Cambridge
    D Paddy Orr
    E Andrew James
    F Bobby Blunder

    16 Jonny Ridd
    17 Slippery Dong
    18 Ben Manera
    19 Marcuss Deane
    20 Luke Pilgrim
    21 Sam Graham
    22 Jordan Logan

    1 Dave Eggman
    2 Tom Delonge
    3 Wes Welker
    4 Heath Davis
    5 Jason Denton
    6 Simon Humble
    7 Crossfire Hurricane
    8 Pretzel Spark
    9 Rob Cribb
    A Dion Alessi
    B Ben Herd
    C Geoff Smith
    D Gareth Weaver
    E Lucas Schaw
    F Alistair Son

    16 James Torres
    17 Sam Bakkum
    18 Benny Read
    19 Alex O'Driscoll
    20 Regan Hutchinson
    21 Aaron Hunt
    22 Alan Izett

The only other player in last season's series who was a Queenslander and played for Norths was Adam Vago.

The bigger shame is actually for the players who've broken through this season. Someone like Os du Toit would be a guaranteed starter for Norths, I'd think, whilst he won't be anywhere near consideration for Souths.

Plus it's not as if CricSim actually exists any more so who cares if North v South is different in RUSim?

  3. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Quite, but I'll only change it if there are decent reasons for it as the status quo is obviously simpler.

Yeah our front row is pretty fucked so losing du Toit is a big blow. Cambridge too - but with Furball gunning this season that's less of an issue

Pretty sure Du Toit has always been Souths. Would have played ahead of Cevno even last year IMO.

Forgot about Pilgrim but he'd be dropped anyway.

Anyway there's no need to worry about the front row when we have Niru

    Do it!

I'm sure under the CricSim model, he'd have been Norths this year along with all other South Africans. I think last season, South Africa didn't have any place in the mix whatsoever. I mean, they're still well short of having a team but at least they've got a bit of presence.

But yeah, Niru will deliver the goods.

  8. Furball G Furball

Pretty sure under the CricSim model all South Africans have moved to Souths to prevent any future messiness when South Africa eventually got their own province.

Pick me as a crash ball centre.

Farcical. Definitely a time to keep things simple. Northern Hemisphere vs. Southern Hemisphere.

What are we counting Vimes as?

I know he put South Africa as his province but it's a farce that a guy who's from the North Pole would be eligible for South.

  12. Howe JHF Howe

The Vimes as South African thing was completely revoked in all competitions iirc. He's Norway with Celtic Provinces secondary, so North.

News to me. It's great to be in the loop.

Ja-nee, I was/am CP and GB and was in the running for a start/bench slot for North last year, until I reminded you that Crib's N-S split under cricsim rules was different. I have thus never been eligible for North, nor ever played for them.

My memory is obviously failing me and I also believe that I'm struggling with my recall at the moment.

Surely in this anyone eligible for GB is eligible for Norths. Even if they aren't actually British - seems pretty realistic to me :p

Contracts for Season 6 will open after the end of the North/South games. Season 6 will not start until every team has 30 contracted players.

Clubs will be able to contact Cnuts players to contract for them. These players will be eligible for first team action only.

Season 6 Contracts open after the final North vs. South game.

There is a contract limit of 30 per team.

Season 6 will not start until every team has 30 contracted players. Remember, you can contract Cnuts players - but these guys can only play in your first XV; they are ineligible for the reserves so they'll only provide cover generally speaking.
