Set piece ratings to deny your pack being a mile ahead of all others. The two best props are at sharks, the best lock combo is at sharks, the best backrow is obviously spartans though.

Disagree with the first. Welker is gun sure but eggman is up there. And delonge would walk into your side. Fair that you have the locks but davis imo is better than goat now.

  3. Escath LE Schaw

    Yay monies.

Basically, Dafter and Welker are best around the pitch IMO, supporting breakdowns etc. Eggman's scrummaging is what I saw as making the big difference in that match, I think he was beating Dafter there. And also, saying Delonge would walk our side is a bit rich considering we have Morris who would always be putting up a huge fight for selection, especially if he were forced into reserves which he would absolutely wreck.

I wouldn't say the Spartans have a "poor midfield", as such.

If I were the Sharks, I'd be worried about only being able to score one try against the Spartans with me on the wing.

I was surprised at how well we did scrum time today. Delonge > morris imo.

But I think the key today was that even when you did get the ball our fringe defence was so good with marcus, callum and chung there that you could never get us on the ropes and suck us in. This meant that even when you had your backs running at ours we were organised enough to stop you going anywhere, and this forces you into errors. I remember a few times in commentary how organised we were. And orr alone is a tackling monster.

Tait and Orr are definitely the weak point of their backline... Not taking into account of course Escath's lack of tackling.

I actually done think escaths rediculously poor tackling skills will make too much of a difference. On the blindside he'll get backrow cover and openside will only be exposed when it comes all the way across the line and he'll have blunder to cover :p.

Orr is a superb defender iirc.

Tbf losing McDougal when we did wasn't exactly ideal.

    Or Laing...

I read that "Heads on for Tails"

That was a horrible game by me and by the whole team in general :( hope we can pick things up and dominate next game.

Not a good start to the season for us :(

At least I had a decent game :/

Excellent win against the favourites first up. Two line breaks from myself; not bad.

Is RM Run Meters? If so, how did I end up making the most out of anyone yet barely feature in the commentary?

    FUUUUUUUUUUUU.

If it makes you happy, you spent the whole time running backwards.

Look, none of the commentary is generated by the sim and I don't have anywhere near enough time to write up every bloody thing that happens. Basically build ups to tries/near tries or any particularly interesting phases of play.

Without looking back at it, I suspect that most of your running metres were done in the middle of the park. You got rated a 9 for a reason. Next time I'll make sure you get mentioned in every commentary play. "Laing is standing nearby shouting.", "Laing is chatting up a cheerleader on the sidelines", "Laing is chowing down on a deep fried marsbar"

The whole point of generating the stats output was that guys would have a fair idea how they played without having to write commentary for every play.

I wasn't actually meaning to slag your commentary... :p

I was more meaning why did I not do more effective things with my running. Which I presume is what the commentary is meant to show? The meaningful passages of play?

Although those commentary lines would be rather amusing!

To be honest, I can't recall. I suspect you must have had a few pick and goes from the ruck that gained you some of those yards. No line breaks as I recall. Yeah, I couldn't be sure without going back and looking, and it's too late for that.

Also, for the record... That was the first decent game I'd had since I built the sim. Good to see I can step up when it matters. Big win that.

Looks like you got smashed as a bookie though.
