We need you for your batting really - if you can average 40+ with the bat and support with the ball that'd work really well, afaic.

    Edit: dammit cribb

Yeh, that attack looks rather intimidating.

  3. Storer BA Storer

    40 :shocking:

  4. Howe JHF Howe

You've only got out twice this carey, averaging 100+. I believe in you

  5. Storer BA Storer

    I'd be delighted with 30, let alone 40. :p

AOD and Storer are looking good with the bat. Good signs for the upcoming season.

Raide is having too many runs, no fair.

Want to see how the Rays perform should Skippos get injured.

  9. Skippos SM Morgan

Yeah we'd be without out best batsman and bowler.

  10. Weeman27bob BE Force

We'd have nobody to open the batting, Skippos would pick Rask and Cambridge to open and Cribb would rage.

I wouldn't rage if Raide opened the batting in a game. I'd only rage if Raide opened the batting in a game so you could have a batsman at 8.

%C Kovas used to open for the Saders all the time so they could still have a five man attack and it was cool. It just doesn't make any sense to leave a batsman with such little opportunity to play a genuine innings down at 8 while Raide opens. No actual batsman would prefer batting 8 to opening.

    AWTA.

Would actually like to see Raide open the batting for once, see what that does to his average.

For example, if the Rays played the Pumas away on a bunsen and Skippos thought he was going to need two spinners but didn't want to compromise the new ball attack, and named this side:

    1 Morgan
    2 Rask
    3 Martyn
    4 Fung
    5 Force
    6 Lee
    7 Das
    8 Starris
    9 James
    10 Cambridge
    11 Ikram

    Then that would be fine.

I'd like to see that sort of thing done more in OD games where it's actually quite realistic. Plenty of teams experiment with their batting order that way irl so I reckon it adds an interesting aspect if it were done in cricsim.

  15. Mariner CL Warrington

AWTA. Saders to let me open in OD, think I'm our only defensive batsman.

  16. Howe JHF Howe

It does happen in one-dayers, I think the Pumas had Dorn opening and Marto at #8 for a bit.

  17. Cribbage RG Cribb

Dorn's a better OD bat than Marto though, plus he's actually an opener, so it's a bit different.

  18. loganb JEM Logan

Poor game from us. Although pleased with 68 in the second innings.

  19. Teacups CJ Evans

    Pipe down cunt.

Raide top scored in the first dig. Everyone should be ashamed of themselves. Raide delivered the second best performance in that match. Everyone bar Skippos to be ashamed of themselves.

    Sorry. :sadwalk:
