    I was at the same club as Tandy in 09. Trained with him, don't think I ever really spoke to him though.

    That's a strange line in the sand. If something gets taken away, it doesn't mean you never had it - it just means you don't have it now.

    Tandy won a premiership, but he wasn't a premiership player.

    A premiership isn't a tangible object though. A game is - Melbourne won that game, it was the grand final, so Tandy won a grand final. A premiership is more of a conceptual thing; it can be taken away retrospectively IMO.
