Using the famous MF betting method I've set myself a goal of going from $100 to $1000 by the end of the year. So far so good:

Genuinely think that some of these lines even at 1.13 or so odds are certainties.

    Bet I'll probably put on:

    Cowboys to Win at $1.20
    Raiders +19.5 at $1.25

    easy win

MF's method is literally printing money. You can even go games at like $1.25 and be picking with certainty.

Why don't you multi a few of them together?

I've long thought about putting $500~ in an account and using a method similar with $50-$100 in bets each week. It's funny that when I mention it to people they give a sideways look and might say things like 'risky, you never know with gambling' that's despite spending over a decade watching and studying league pretty closely and generally having a thorough understanding of it. If I were to say 'yeah got a bit of extra savings, going to throw it in some shares, maybe put some money in a start up' people nod along and say 'smart, always good to invest, who knows you might get on the next Facebook early'.

Last week for example I like Cows 13+, Penrith straight, Tigers 1-12, Canberra at the line. Using those margins is the Lukic has seems like a much better system.

This pre origin window is definitely the time to strike, odds are a bit all over the place as the markets get carried away with sides that win 2-3 in a row, there isn't the disruption of origin changes etc and all teams are still in the hunt, so your not going to get sides switching off and coasting or deep players suddenly turning it on to nab a contract somewhere like you do in the back end.

It's just a stigma thing. A lot of people that invest in shares have no business knowledge whatsoever, so it's pretty dumb.....I mean if they're investing in big companies they're probably pretty safe but investing in start-ups for someone like them would literally be like randomly picking a team to win in a sport they know nothing about. Use your knowledge and earn some $$$ betting if that's what you want to do, if you're a good bettor, the returns are far significant than what you'd typically see investing in shares.

My only advice is only bet what you're prepared to lose. So if that $500 isn't needed then by all means go for it. You mention $50-$100 bets - maybe a little big for a bankroll of that size. Sure it's sweet as if your first bets win but if they don't you can be down a hole pretty fast. $100 is 20% of your bankroll so you only need 5 bets to lose and you're outskies and 10 bets for the $50. Typically you wouldn't normally put anymore than 2% on a bet. However since your bankroll isn't that big that'd only be $10 bets so could go up to 5% in earlier stages and once it gets a lot bigger drop down to no more than 2%. 5% is $25 bets so still good money to be made with less risk of losing it all quickly.

One thing to also note is your friends will soon silence and even jump aboard the bandwagon when you start proving that you're winning money. None of my mates (even partner) bag betting, they love it because I've proven I can consistently win.

I sort of am. Just reinvest the winnigs in the next game. No games are concurrent so the multi isn't necessary. I guess I risk losing value if the line changes at the start of the game but also protect against a player being ruled out and costing me the game.

I'll happily drop 1-2% pts of return when the key os that you keep winning.

Either team to win under 12.5 for the Sharks, Bulldogs and Roosters game this week and Cowboys to win by more than 3.5.

    Money for jam.

Oates is currently paying $9.50 FTS with sportsbet, compared to his $5 from last week.
