Round 2 - Central Coast Bears vs Sydney Roosters

6th Minute

The ball is kicked off to Fung who spins it infield to Downpipes who's brought down easily. O'Neill takes a charge before he's tackled and quickly plays it to Jacob who jumps out and hits Heef who breaks a tackle before getting held. Hunt scoots and makes a solid 10m again. The ball goes back to Perry who kicks from the 30, big kick here, he has about 15m of field to land this in and it bounces on the 30m and rolls forward! 40/20!!!! Or not! it is judged to have crossed 21m out so close!

 

7th minute

The scrum is taken and Pearce is given a gap wider than Tim's mum's vag to run through! He's off but Hughes is positioned well and holds up Pearce before Gemmell flies over and absolutely creams him! Pearce loses the ball forward and its the Bears ball.

 

7th minute

Perry gets the ball from the scrum and finds James he has miles of space! He runs it to the 20m before getting brought down. Jacobs continues to control the play well and scoots for 7m but brings the ball infield to create options for his halves. Perry goes to james again and he charges at his winger and does well to stay in and is tackled 5m out. O'Neill takes a tough run and is pulled down with his eyes on the tryline! Jacobs hits the big man Laing who is smashed and loses ground. Jacobs hits Hughes who's running with impetus! He steps Pearce and dives over!!! Hughes finding redemption here!! They run it on the last and it pays off big time!!

 

7th minute

Jacobs nails the extra two and stretches it to 9 without a miss!

8th Min

Gemmell takes the kickoff and makes a lazy run. Jacobs hits Read who steps through, breaks a tackle, and another, and another, and he's held but they can't bring him down! He throws a miracle offload which hits no-one, the ball is cleaned up by Myles who then passes to no one and Jacobs clears up the lost ball!

Interchanges are decided and at the next break off play changes will be made

Laing, Pilgrim and Heef all take a rest and on come Burridge, Cambridge and Ikram gets his first play. Read moves to the Front Row.

 

8th Min.

Gemmell gets into dummyhalf and makes a run, he steps off his left and passes Anasta and he's off and running!!!! The Big Unit has the legs pumping here and he looks for some support! Minichiello is haring down on the lock forward and he find SIMON LAING! The Red head front rower looms up in support from nowhere! He gets the ball and runs 20m and swan dives next to the posts, The Bears are on fire and Jacobs cracks double figures here!

Jacobs has only had 2 hard ones so far.

 

9th minute

The ball goes to Perry and he draws the oncoming line and finds Hughes who links up with Hunt who needs to get more involved here! He steps a defender and then throws a pass to no-one! Fitzgibbon collects the ball 10m out! He runs but is smashed by Burridge who is fired up and he forces the ball loose here!

 

10th Minute

Perry picks the ball up from the scrum and cuts it out to Hunt who has been lacklustre so far to say the least. He'll need to lift his game or a substitution is nigh. He catches the ball and skips outside his opposite number then steps off his left and goes through, the cover defence comes across and he jinks off his left again, he's found some space! He takes off from the 10m line, He's in the clear, he's absolutely charging and he's getting tired he has team-mates left, right and centre screaming for the pill but he ignores them all and crosses to redeem himself!!
