    :laugh: Assumed it was a fair bit more than that.

    The minimum wage of the player who'll replace him is 80k as well, so if he really is only on 180k then releasing him would only free up 10k.

    Not really, this is the last year of a 3 year contract he signed back in 2013 when he had a few first grade games under his belt.

    He hasn't really achieved anything such as rep honours that would've activated any significant upgrade clauses so I could see how he'd only be on 180k quite easily.

    Yeah, he didn't really have a breakout year until 2014 so he is still on a pretty basic contract. I assume he is demanding a lot more now (deservedly I might add, he's a gun) which is why we let him go.

    I'm thinking only Newcastle.

    And wouldn't it still actually be up to Nathan Peats? I seriously doubt he'd be happy to join the re-building Knights at this point in his career.

    Oh I thought the figure reported was the figure excl TPAs above the cap, especially when they're reporting total figures over the years at around 3mil over the cap.
