Gillett had one of his best Origin games. Unlike in previous games, when he raced up out of the line, he actually stopped the momentum of big boppers like Klemmer and Woods. He made a lot of important defensive efforts. Chasing Munster's kick and grassing Pearce in the in-goal was huge.
For NSW there really is no excuse for losing this series. We trotted out weaker teams this year than what we did in 2014. How on earth do you score 44 points in 107 minutes, then go 133 minutes with one try from a kick?

Yeah Pearce is the worst player to play as many Origins as he has by like 10 country miles. 18 games and he's been terrible in at least more than half of them.
