Such a shame JT didn't get to play but what a legend. Will always remember that conversion and everything else he did in the maroon jersey.

Cordner's one of the few NSW players I respect. Classy in defeat.

I hate that Cronk got no recognition.
But Turdston gonna Turdston, so no one else is important.

Yeah, far better captain than Peptide Paul.

McGuire did his job. Called him a naughty name in game 2 and he just hasn't been the same since......

Smith's performance is a little overrated. His passing was actually quite poor at times. He was the goods when running though.

He just brings so much to a football side. Aside from all his skills, the composure, direction and control are just immeasurable. Hands down the most valuable player ive ever seen.

That take from Holmes to score his third was remarkable. One of the best I can remember. Slater was excellent as well.

Such a weird series. NSW were the better side for all of game 1, most of game 2 and yet even with a near-perfect injury run against a heavily depleted QLD side, they still come up short. Don't even know how to process that.

lol I nearly broke my voicebox yelling at Chambers for kicking on second tackle, 30m out. That and losing the ball 10m out from our line. Mate, pull your fucking head in or Morgan will be there when Inglis comes back.

Gagai - average of 187m per game. Ridonkulous. Glad they stuck with Glasby; that cunt goes alright. And McGuire was superb.

Josh Jackson is a myth. Cunt offers nothing in attack. Graham had a poor series. And Dugan was horrible aside from that try.

NSW's bench props were great. Klemmer and Trbojevic were the only middle third players going forward.

  13. Magic AJ Parker

Yeh Klemmer & Trbojevic were the only players worth writing home about for NSW.

Klemmer has been really consistent at SOO level for some time now, really needs to start next year. Vaughan can take Fifita's spot on the bench.

lol at them comparing Fifita to Beetson because of one match. That's like us comparing Munster to Lewis because of tonight. You just don't compare one effort to Immortals ffs.

Pearce is the organiser. He should've been instructing them to go up the middle over and over with Tedesco waiting for inside balls and then spread it after they got in behind them or got them on the back foot. QLD were storm-esque in the middle with how well they got numbers in and suffocated it but the solution to that has always been to start forcing some offloads to get the attack kick started. All they did in attack was 3 basic forward charges then spread it uselessly for the entire 80 mins.

Pearce shouldn't come in for too much criticism in this match but he certainly should for game 2. This series should never have gone to a decider. They had more than enough field position to wrap it up in Sydney but both he and Maloney stopped playing direct. They became spectators.

  17. Magic AJ Parker

Everything Pearce did was direct, about the only times we looked good in the first half was when Pearce was playing into the line and laying an unders ball for Dugan or an out ball for Frizell.

I reckon people have been telling Fifita to run up the guts his whole life and he seems to have listened to that for one game in his career, Jackson was just as ineffective whilst sticking to the script, Cordner was below par and Woods was busting a gut but playing behind some really slow play the balls. It just wasn't a pretty sight.

I think people are clutching if they think Maloney, Pearce or Peats could've done much about tonight. None would get more than a 5/10 but they were limited in their ability to control the game.

Like saying Cameron Smith is an organiser so he should've been instructing the Qld side to go up the middle in game 1. Instructions and application are two separate factors.

This won't be classed as a flogging but you could make the case that 16 points in Origin is more than just a comprehensive win. When you add the fact that NSW were a bee's dick away from losing this 28 or 30-6, then it's extremely comprehensive even considering that it was 12-6 with 20 to go.

  19. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

lol Morgan is such a fucking gun. Absolute flick pass merchant. 2015 GF, Game 2 this year to win it, and Game 3 this year to get us off and running.

Is there anything thing better than waking up the next day with the shield staying in QLD? lol, I think not. This is how I ssee the game.

1.50 - How is that 6 to go to NSW? Maloney kicked it straight into Gillett who was simply making a tackle. First call of the game and they get it wrong.
2.30 - Morris plays for a penalty but Chambers was well within his right be where he was.
    3.00 - Munster's first touch/run is a quality one. Beats one and makes 12m.
4.00 - Borderline obstruction by Maloney running behind Cordner. Play-on.
4.10 - Pearce bomb, Hayne takes his first dive of the night. Pathetic. It's pointless to because he takes himself out of the chase.
4.30 - FIrst QLD penalty for holding down against Jackson.
6.15 - First penalty to NSW. Reckon it's very harsh as Woods was picked up and dumped. Dominant tackle surely.
7.05 - Woods loses it and it's called 6 to go. Impossible to tell how it came out so play-on fair enough.
7.50 - Pearce throws it into Cordner's side, trying to pass to Maloney. Ball goes to ground. Amazing effort from Wallace to get there first and dive on it. (reckon Cordner was at fault for this).
9.15 - Napa annihilates Cordner coming out of his own end.
9.30 - Err, blatant, classic shepherd by FIfita running behind Jackson. How on earth is that not penalised?
10.20 - Forward pass by Cronk short to Gillett. Not called.
10.40 - Tedesco spills his lollies. Maloney pick it up in an offside position. Pen QLD.
12.00 - Piss weak set from QLD ends with a poor kick from Smith. 20m restart.
13.05 - Jackson called for a knock-on. Good call imo. You surrender, tackler gets extra time (just as we should've been allowed on Woods in a dominant). Cunt tried to play it way too quick.
14.40 - Holmes try. Close to a knock-on but he did keep fingers on it. Really like the fact that after Slater's offload Munster rifled it out to Morgan straight away. That's what you have to do when there is second phase. Morgan makes Dugan look stupid.
17.35 - Morris saves a certain try. lol was devastated at the time. Set up by Smith and Slater.
23.42 - Better interchange of passing down NSW's right side before Dugan fumbles it.
24.20 - Chambers kicks on 2nd tackle in excellent field position. Was never on, absolute fucking waste.
25.35 - Another offload from Slater. Second phase is draining NSW legs.
25.40 - Poor defence from Jackson and Cordner allows Smith to get through again. (No criticism of Jackson I noticed.)
26.00 - Holmes try. Pinpoint kick from Cronk.
33.55 - NSW's finally get some field position and they go to Hayne on last tackle down a short-side who produces a nothing kick. Maloney has got to do better than that. You have to look to get a repeat set there and camp down the other end for a while.
36.40 - Credit to Maloney here though. Only NSW player who played the whistle and makes a try saver on Glasby. Superb call by the officials.
36.50 - Smith absolutely butchers the ensuing try opportunity by not passing.
39.07 - Again, first time NSW are down QLD's end in ages and Dugan knocks on, third tackle. If he doesn't score that try, he gets about a 3 out of 10.

    HT.
