Overall player rating or overall team rating? Very reluctant to give overall player ratings just because it favours backs and backs that can goal kick. Essentially they mean nothing. Overall team ratings.....S.A Collegians are 85.9 so I'd say they'll probably be in Div 1.
Mariner's Tigers are rated 76.4 Keep in mind overall ratings take into account players as well as team attributes (which you were only allowed to use a max of 400 points) Tigers are still a really good team.
Hoping for 80+. Reckon I actually drafted a pretty handy team. Although my depth is my strongsuit not my stars so perhaps that'll cost me. inb4 <70. P.S. no way should Droos's team be the highest over some of the lower teams. No fucking way.
Yeah the overall rating isn't the most defined thing in the world I'd suspect. Trust me I triple checked everything for his team. He has average players but I guess it's outweighed by the good players he has. I dunno my team seems to have more depth and stars. Pretty happy with player's skills though which is all that matters. Overall ratings are only determining divisions and if it's clear teams are in the wrong place then it'll sort itself out by season 2 with promotions/ delegations. At the end of the day the overall team rating doesn't come into effect for results or anything. So the best team will win not the best rated team Check out Droos' player skills on the link. I'm fairly confident you'll agree with the skills for the most part.
The Redwood Phoenix (Gazza) are rated 78.9 Decent 1st XV but things look pretty average with some of the reservers.
And Mariner is grossly underrated. Reckon his team is one of the best. Checking out Droos's now though.
O'Connor looks like a legitimately good fly half in this. Needs to be fixed. He's a little overs in tackle, well overs in passing and offloads, a little overs in general kicking and enough overs in goal kicking. If Mental agility is essentially decision making then he's overs in that. Giteau isn't as athletically good anymore as listed IMO, and his kicking is overrated. I think you're living in the past with regards to George Smith as well. Hook and Harinorduqoy a little underrated too, though.
Cheers one of the main reasons I wanna push through and get all player ratings listed so people can have an input. For the most part I'm generally pretty happy with ratings so far. So only a couple of players to look atfor Droos team. Although I still don't feel it's going to make too much difference to the overall rating. Push a couple of players down but put a few up. I can't get my head around the overall team rating. I'm gonna put everyone's team attributes to 0 so we can get a crasp of how good teams are just based on players. George Smith is a living legend btw
So I've put all the team attributes to 0 and it definitely shows that they are having more of an influence on the overall rating. Here's what the ratings are with all team attributes at 0: S.A Collegians 36.1 Thunder RFC 35.8 French Fancy 35.7 Redfern Reds RUFC 35.3 Mariner's Tigers 34.4 Redwood Phoenix 33.3 So yeah this shows it's a lot closer compared to the ones with the attributes. Sees me become the 2nd best team too. So in conclusion I wouldn't look into the overall ratings too much and I'll be using the ones without team attributes to determine divisions probably. Either that or a quick tournament before hand?
