    Personally, I'd like to see...

    1.Hayne
    2.Robertson
    3.Scott
    4.Tahu
    5.Morris
    6.Soward
    7.Pearce
    8.Weyman
    9.Farah
    10.Douglas
    11.Hindmarsh (c)
    12.Tolman
    13.Fensom

    14.Ennis
    15.Poore
    16.Kite
    17.Mason

Being realistic though, if the outside backs are instructed to defend as they did on Wednesday night, it doesn't matter who they put out there. Thurston and Lockyer will just hold it up then deliver, throw the cut-out or kick in behind. I hear Cooper will be out so I'd pick Tahu to play left side, where he belongs. I don't see any point bringing Lyon back. We know for a fact that he can't stop Inglis. I'd like to give Scott another go, this time with a decent winger who can tackle.

There's no point picking Barrett, afaic. Sure NSW should be trying to win the final match but the series is over and if it means winning next year's series, it's worth losing a dead rubber. The same goes for Luke Stuart; this year was his last chance.

My team is a "No dick heads" zone, hence the omissions of Watmough, Gallen, O'Donnell and Creagh. Anybody who puts all of them in a team, like some on here did, should have their head checked.

That team sucks on so many levels.

lol, a bit more than that please?

I can't refute your arguments if you don't present any.

Robertson is great at getting over the line but there is no way he's origin standard. Soward would die. Plain and simple. Chucking Fensom in the deep end there too. Ennis is a waste on the bench as he'd provide no spark what so ever.

Why not? I think he's very safe and knows how to tackle.

I don't even know what that means. Why and how? Please don't tell me the lingering thought of Inglis fending him off is your key piece of evidence. Thurston and Lockyer aren't great defenders either. Neither are Kimmorley and Pearce. If they have good defenders around them, they should be fine.

All I want him to do is what Johnson did for QLD - Tackle, tackle and then tackle some more. His numbers are just amazing (far beyond anyone else) and if he gets thrown into the deep end but manages to swim in this dead rubber, boom! You've got yourself a defensive workhorse for next year (an underrated commodity IMO). If not, no worries. He'll get a taste of Origin and there aren't really any consequences as the series is over.

Where is your evidence for this?

As far as I can tell, he's offered nothing in attack this year because he's been too busy defending. Relieve him of that and we all know what he can do with a bit of time and space.

  6. GYR DW Lewis

I actually totally agree about Robertson. I reckon he would do a much better job than the other tards that have been put there so far.

  10. Lukic L Popovic

I reckon Luke Lewis over Ennis.

It doesn't make sense to put Ennis in off the benchc because he's not going to:
    1) Sure up the defence
    2) Provide any spark
    3) Farah's an 80 minute hooker and much fitter.

If anything Farah off the bench would make more sense, but Lewis would be better than both as a genuine utility.

Farah is not an 80 minute hooker in SOO.

Have the other way around then I guess, play them like 40 each with Farah coming on at the end of each half. He's much more of a threat around the tired men whilst Ennis will probably be better in the initial battle for field position.

  13. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

I'm fine either way though I wouldn't be using them for 40 each.

  14. Rocks DN Boland

If Ennis doesn't start then he shouldn't play IMO. I wouldn't mind Farrah of the bench.

  15. Freddy MJ Johns

Melbourne v Manly, early last year to dent. Lyon dominated Inglis from the get go.

Like we should take what he did in a club game over what he did in Game 1, 2009.

  17. Speirz DG Speirs

I actually really like the look of that forward pack. The only player I'd want in there is Watmough, I just don't think you can drop him when he was one of the few reasons we were competitive in game one. I'd probably have him on the bench for Kite.

I'm not all that sure if Fensom's ready yet either, especially when Hindmarsh is in the side as well. However I can't really think of any workhorse sort of players who are in decent form. Laffranchi could maybe fill the role.

  18. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Laffranchi's defence in Game 1, 2009 and for the Titans in general, of late, has been very poor.

I'm trying to build a brick wall and Watmough is that which he leaves - Gaps.

5 props (including Tolman) and 3 back rowers offer far better balance, in my submission, than the current norm - 3 or less props and a shitload of overrated back rowers.

    Side that I'd want....

    1. Hayne
    2. Tahu (I'd go Uate if eligible)
    3. Jennings (I'd go Gasnier if he came back quick enough)
    4. Lyon
    5. B Morris
    6. Campese/Carney
    7. Pearce
    8. Douglas
    9. Farah
    10. Snowden
    11. Hindmarsh
    12. Gallen
    13. Bird

    14. Lewis
    15. TLL
    16. Watmough
    17. Weyman/Poore
