New Zealand '95-Now Draft

  1. Hurricane JD Hurricane

I only saw him in his last two years of his career, and he was basically just punching the clock in each game.

Still I though he was solid just unspectacular. I just couldn't think of anyone else, Probably should have gone Mike Brewer looking back on it.

  2. Starris ER Starris

Agree with Heef... he was a great player at his best.

I'll weigh in with my comments as each team posts its final XV.

Some of your forwards are before my time* (while I was overseas) so I won't rate those.

I think I am hot and cold on your backs. You will have the best 9-10 combination in the draft. Your wings are flash. Kahui was a good pick and I wanted him in my team.

Toeava - I wouldn't have picked. He was a project player that would drop the ball mere metres from the try line.

Muliaina was past his prime by 2007 and was just solid for the next 4 years I watched.

Still Toeava aside I rate your back line higher than mine. Well done.

Edit - and I think once you drafted carter you needed to complement him with some good backs.

In hindsight, I forgot Freuen existed, he would've been a better pick, definitely, but there weren't many centres I actually know a lot about remaining.

Pretty happy with my side... would have liked Vidiri as well.
Nadolo is the only non-All Black and relative unknown to me.
Though is he has the attacking flare of Lomu I'd be happy enough.
Just wouldn't want Lomu's defensive lacking... I never really understood how he was classified as the games great when he was so bad on defence.
