I hate the Coote love, he's shit (well avg) he's done **** all. I've looked at the stats. McDonnell is better on stats alone except for tries really. And I'm talking this season btw. McDonnell has been solid as ****. Evaded Slater and Inglis from our in goal with 2 steps and broke away for 30m run. Just about no errors in him, tackled big Tony Williams etc. You look at Cootes stats it shows he misses tackles and makes errors. He's meh IMO. And I realize he is a forum favourite, ****ed if I know why for a bloke who hasn't done much.
Not really about that, I just threw it in to compare to McDonnell. But what's he done so far this season, or past season to warrant him being good?
McDonnell has the same amount of errors.... Coote has 3 tries, McDonnell has 0 They have similar runs and metres. they have similar tackles, with Coote missing 3 more, but they're fullbacks, they're going to miss tackles on breaks, it's how it goes. Coote has 108 kick metres compared to McDonnell's 0. Coote has 5 more returns, McDonnell must be a lazy ****. Coote avgs 12 metres on returns, McDonnell only 10. etc etc etc
A lot of people on this forum over rate players. Its just the way it works. Take for example, every player in the broncos squad.
Based on 3 games? How can you take stats seriously after 3 games ffs? I think the Coote love is nothing bar potential, although strange for Rob as he usually seems to take a liking for those already established and consistent performers.
Ok **** the stats all together? Anyone watched all Knights and Panthers games, who's been better? Then last year, Coote did nothing. I dont get people rating him, if they wanna talk up a young fullback look at Dugan.
Most on here have already admitted that Dugan is going to be a better fullback... even Rob himself. Was discussed only last week iirc.
Everyone has said he looks very promising. Nobody has said he is here to take over the throne of Greg Bird.
