It's Spurs we're talking about. Perennial chokers.

    Cheers for the heads up.

FTR I think that's a great bet. Newcastle are innovatively bad at the minute and Spurs inexplicably suck balls at beating shit teams at home.

Only got £23 in my bet365 account, so only £10 profit to be had.

They're at 22/1. Which I'd say is a touch short seeing as there's a chance they'll lose Bale and if they miss out on top 4 (which they're favourites too) then I think they'll struggle to bridge the gap.
I'd give you odds of us winning at 13-14/1 and them at 26-30/1. I guess.

Either of them challenging seems really far-fetched to me. Citeh and Chelsea will almost definitely improve a lot over the summer and United have a massive head-start. What could possibly happen over the summer that would close that gap? Even if they manage to still be in the race come January this time, they'll have smaller squads and much less experience than the teams they're competing with, and neither side is famed for their mental strength. It just won't happen. The title race next season is between three clubs.

Arsenals squad isn't near any of the other top 3, the difference in Chelseas rating is the money plus Mou going there. Its not about anyone just hating on Arsenal and not rating them, its just being realistic

You could still lose out on a champions league place, from there to winner shouldn't be a 25/1

    Eds overrating Benitez shocker

I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility for Arsenal to make 2 or 3 really top notch signings and be in with a shout. It's unlikely but not impossible. All 3 clubs ahead of them having new managers might also play into Arsenal's hands.

Tottenham doing so is far less likely IMO.

I really don't see Arsenal at 16/1 as being short.

If you played the league simultaneously in 16 different parallel universes how many would you expect Arsenal to win? No more than 1, if at all imo. Obviously that's not a fair representation on how they calculate odds but the point stands

Arsene's idea of a top signing is a much coveted 17 year old Mozambican defensive midfielder.

  12. Verigoat S Verigotta

Not sure Mou going to Chelsea would play into Arsenals hands

    The others potentially

If Liverpool keep Suarez I reckon they'll finish higher than Arsenal tbh

It's hard to tell with Liverpool. Coutinho and Sturridge are looking very good. But they quite often look like they're going places at this time of year then fall apart the season after. Not sure they've fixed their problems- poor finishing, terrible set piece defending, lots of individual errors.

This is where I'd post the "it's our year" graph if I could find it.

  16. PienaarColada DH Mulray

Arsenal will finish closer to 5th than 1st again next season.

  17. Verigoat S Verigotta

A non united fan saying they'll finish 4/5th

Not sure it's that time just yet

  18. Eds E Ames

Yeah this. Plus the team is just so horrendously mentally weak and I'm not sure we can count on Gerrard playing every game next season. Plus without even Europa League football we'd have to count on another Coutinho/Sturridge style signing (at CB/GK) to be anywhere near, IMO.

  19. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Coutinho's been class 2nd half of the season.

  20. Verigoat S Verigotta

It would of been hard for him to have been class in the first half
