yeah they do, and no one cant dispute that. the bandwagoning was brought about by the obvious successes of the last 21 years and an awesome global marketing campaign. But by the same token they are the most hated club too.
Most people choose who to support when they're kids and still in love with the game and are drawn to teams with good players because that's who they like to pretend to be in their back garden. It's generally more fun supporting someone successful but you miss out on the chance to think you're better than everyone else for supporting someone shit.
Id definatley agree in terms of English teams, would probably have Liverpool close behind and then Arsenal. I think barca might have an edge world wide though. It's not a bad thing. Theres probably a much more even split in the higher class countries. USA, Aus etc, we probably get most of ours from the asias, the africas, the ireland And lets be honest, no one gives a shit about those fans lololololasians
Irish people have always been close to United because Manchester was historically a very Catholic area.
Yep, and who cares for what reason they started to support United as long as they remain supporters even if there is a rough period.
Don't think you can divide it region wise tbh. There are many bandwagonners in the UK too. Know a guy in Stockport who supported Chelsea till Mourinho was there, but after left and United's champions league win in 2008. Then there are people who support certain players and form a link with the club from that angle. And the club generally cares about all sort of fans.
Massively up for it. Its kind of a no pressure game really. If we win it kills off any hope they might have had. If we lose well we're still 12 points clear
The game this time last season was a flop because there was so much riding on it. This time around can see City just going all out for the win so I expect a good game with lots of goals. Though we've struggled to score of late so we'll see
He went through a similar patch last season iirc. then exploded at the end EDIT: He went through a patch of 7 games scoring 1 goal, and then scored 3 in 2 games. So not quite as bad
