    un-confirmed. you'd need more than a few inches :p

  2. Farny AP Farnsworth

Pfft, you don't need to be tall to be a Flanker. You're too light, from what I can remember.

I reckon though, seriously, I've been tempted to work on my pace and give the wing a crack. My handling is better than most wingers, I can take high balls all day, including cross field kicks, and I can beat most wingers 1 on 1. I'd just have to go for the rush defence so I didn't get stepped.

  3. Ged GEC King

Looks like i need to practice my goasl kicking.

  4. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Exactly... 5'10" would do me fine :p

Well tbh I weigh 11 stone at 5'7" give me a few more inches I'll be fine. I play like a flanker anyway tbh :p

  5. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Ye sounds like you'd be a good winger... great on the crash ball too... how good are you at the old covering tackles?

  6. Baxter MJ Deane

Thats why I have played Winger a few times.
I've got pretty good speed:size ratio .
Handling (includes high balls etc) + Tackling are my strongest area's.
I played there for my club and because I was a lot bigger and considerbaly slower than our other absolute whippet of a winger they were trying to bomb them in behind me. I took them all day long and ran them back up the picth / gave them to our fullback. Came off the pitch and our coach says "awesome out there mate, we were debating if you were a goalkeeper in a previous life or something" to which I replied "I am a goalkeeper :p".

  7. Farny AP Farnsworth

Line me up opposite an 11-12 stone flanker and I'll be licking my lips when it gets to the rucks.

I'm pretty good at the covering tackles. Quite prone to getting stepped by scrum halves though, and/or hitting them high.

  8. Baxter MJ Deane

    Preferably "or"

  9. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Well if I had the extra height the extra weight would come with it... and playing in the pack would make me take my upper body strenght more seriously... so I would bulk up.

Anyway my low centre of gravity makes me really hard to knock over, as I've found out many times in rucks/tackles.

  10. Luffers JRE Luffman

TBH two things would make you a good flanker.

    1. Stupid determination. I have hardly ever seen someone rip the ball from you.
    2. Stupidely high pain barrier.

  11. Farny AP Farnsworth

Hooker IMO at that height :p

  12. kingdamo DRP Taylor

That looks good like that Eds, great effort.

But next time, sim a NZ game :p. Just kidding mate, do whatever you like!

  13. Sik_Slogga SLO Graham

Wahey second try in two games :w00t:

Liking the output here but a shame about no ratings.

The NSW lose was obv just a fluke :p

  14. CCG C Golding

What did Blunder say earlier? CCG to fail at Centre? Two set ups, I think that's a success. Like this sort of simmage, but some sort of stat may be useful IMO, but I'm with this sort of simmage.

Also well done Farny there, looked like he was pretty useful round the park. Is this still Rugby08?

  16. Zakaron SDR Laing

At least my name was in it once lol well down GB great win.

  17. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Tbh... always first to the breakdown as well, Geoff was going to play me at 7 if we'd have had someone to play 15.

Always wanted to be a flnaker tbh.

  18. CCG C Golding

Looks fun, played it a bit but I prefer playing in the backs and looking good, not doing the gritty work :p

  19. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Ye I'm definatley one for crash balls and running into people... bit of a psycho ITBT.

  20. CCG C Golding
