    10 overs: South Africa 32/0

The home side took a watchful start against CricSim's new ball attack, with Dyer adding two maidens against a cautious Amla.

  2. Howe JHF Howe

    20 overs: South Africa 70/0

Quinton de Kock led the way for South Africa with a fine fifty at the top of the order. CricSim were unable to find a breakthrough as they cycled through the change bowlers, but kept control over the run rate as Amla (18 off 50) struggled to gain any momentum.

    30 overs: South Africa 93/0

Langdon Alger was sneaking through his overs before the South Africans had even noticed he'd bowled them, at one stage his figures reading 7 overs for 16. The wicket still eluded the cricsimmers, but with the opposition this shackled, it wasn't causing anyone alarm.

    40 overs: South Africa 145/0

South Africa's openers continued to build their sedate but persistent stand. Alger's final over went for 8, and so the figures that were amazing finished as just good - 0-30. Soon after, Amla joined his opening partner on fifty, after having taken more than 100 balls to get there. As de Kock pushed on towards a hundred, Gareth eaver recieved some tap as the batsmen looked on top for the first time in the innings.

    50 overs: South Africa

De Kock's hundred came off 136 balls, but the very next delivery, the returning Weaver finally got him, with O'Driscoll diving one-handed from slip to take the catch. At the other end, Dyer made Amla play and miss twice before claiming a catch behind to dismiss his man for a painful 71. Faf Du Plessis lasted two balls, first clonking Dyer to the boundary for four before missing a straight one to be dismissed.

With risks needing to be taken, Duminy helped take 12 off Weaver's last over, before Dyer struck agin to remove him. Miller came in looking fierce as he responded with two boundaries, but Davis got him with the first ball of his two-over death spell. Dyer snagged a fourth when he bowled De Villiers in the 49th, and though Pretorius and Morris got a few away, Davis' last over with two wickets in two balls. Despite the clatter of late wickets, there were plenty of boundaries in between, and South Africa were able to post a respectable 233.

    10 overs: CricSim 25/1

A nervous start to the chase for CricSim, as Steyn and Rabada gave Alex O'Driscoll a tough time opening up. The keeper-batsman made just 6 off 28 before being hit on the toe by Rabada.

    20 overs: CricSim 59/2

Mahmathlai and Morgan steadily built a platform for the visitors, but the stand was broken by Pretorius as Mahmathlai was adjudged lbw for 30.

    30 overs: CricSim 117/5

The arrival of Tom Delonge was a shot in the arm for the CricSim innings, the number four adding two sixes to the tally in the middle overs. Delonge overtook Morgan when on 31 from 21 balls - the latter being on 30 off 60 - ass the fifty partnership came up.

That was when Rabada and Morris struck twice in two balls to remove both batsmen and derail the chase again - all four wickets being lbw. Bobby Hawke responded to the tense situation by opting to run out Chewie, and the visitors were in trouble.

I am so shit. Also not sure why I’m a keeper in this but all good.

39.1 overs: CricSim 161 all out

Chris Morris' contribution was pretty much to seal the match - first taking a great catch to get rid of Mace, and then coming back in to dismiss Hawke for just 10.

Langdon Alger managed to be the first CricSim bat to make an impact since Delonge as he slogged a few hits away, but at the other end Steyn ran through both Weaver and Davis. Alger was the last man out - the sixth lbw of the innings - and CricSim succumbed to a heavy defeat.

South Africa won by 72 runs

As bad as the Delonge one. Of course there was a run out. Fielder had a choice of ends.

That's a bit of a failure. I seem to be forging a decent partnership with Dyer though.

Nothing to play for, giving some rests out and some if the boys some extra experience, you get what you pay for

Would be nice if Chewie and Mace would stand up every once in a while

  18. Chewie JA Chewie

Hey I got run out by Hawke, following his call

    Two updates:

    1) We are due to play a three-match ODI series away in the West Indies, and need a squad of 15.

    2) Guess who was the leading wicket taker in FC cricket this season?
