Have you ever won big $$$ on a scratchie?

    Most I've ever won is $10, buy one every few months and get some for birthdays etc. think my mum won a couple hundred dollars 20 years ago.

    How about y'all? I've never even heard of someone winning a top prize in my area

    Personally max I've won was $100. Few $50 as well.

    haha dad got one off work the other day and thought this exact thing.

    it was the 100k a year for 10 years one. we got 2 of them when u needed 3 lol.

    No-one wins I reckon.

    Saw a story on one of the morning shows of a bloke in the 90's who won a car off a scratchie. The news back then wanted to do a news piece about it and they got him to re-enact when he scratched it and won. So they went down to the newsagent and he got a new scratchie and won $250k off that fucking scratchie.

    They said it was like 1 in 6 billion chance of happening.

    My best mate won $10k off a scratchie.

    She bought two $1 scratchies, gave one to a friend who scratched the $10k winner.

    They then attempted to dog my friend and claim it all, finally ended up conceding they were a tosser and split it 50/50.

    Not really. Good to flick one in a card for someone's bday etc. Given it's 1 in 7 chance of winning something, you do actually win (unlike lotto). That being said buying them on a regular occasion would be a waste.

    One of my mates in highschool's parents won the lottery as well.

    They were pretty poor to begin with too so it was pretty awesome that they could then build and buy a pretty huge house.
