Nah it won't. It's just pushed last season's efforts down to "last season" and only included a couple of games worth of "this season". As opposed to the full allotment he now has in terms of "this season" PS games. He's got worse. Will basically only get better if the delay lasts so long that he gets in close to a full county season and does better than he did last season.

It's actually quite frustrating to pick players at a certain point in time and then have their abilities change based on subsequent events. I expected a mid-season update, not a pre-season update.
