Pick what you think would be the two greatest backlines in history (Putting players together from anywhere).

    Go!

  2. Jabba HJ Bots

    9. Joost van der Westhuizen
    10. Dan Carter
    11. Jonah Lomu
    12. Ma'a Nonu/Tana Umaga
    13. Philippe Sella
    14. David Campese
    15. Chris Latham/Christian Cullen

  3. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

    Needs more Carlos tbh.

  4. Julian BJ Taylor

    Brett Sheehan
    Andrew Walker
    Lote Tuqiri
    Mat Rogers
    Israel Folau
    Wendell Sailor
    Jason Robinson

  5. Squeaks ZW Poole

  6. Julian BJ Taylor

In all seriousness though the first thing I'd lock in is:

    10. Mark Ella

  7. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

I'd have Ieuan Evans on one wing, that much I do know and Lomu on the other.

  8. The Boy Brumby ZJ Brumby

    9 - Gareth Edwards
    10 - Dan Carter
    11 - David Campese
    12 - Tim Horan
    13 - Brian O'Driscoll
    14 - Jonah Lomu
    15 - JPR Williams

  9. Starris ER Starris

I'm gonna have to think about this but Lomu can't be the best winger cause he can't defend... or is this just based on attack?

  10. Hurricane JD Hurricane

    Awesome effort

    9 Nick Farr Jones
10 Porta sp? If he was an All Black he would be regarded as the best
    11 Camberabero (can't spell
    12 Horan
13 Sella by a country Mile. He is known as the Great Phillipe Sella in this neck of the woods.
    14 Campese
    15 JPR

That is a line up sans ABs

The only ABs I probably would sneak in there would be
    Lomu
    Robertson
    Nepia

  11. Squeaks ZW Poole

    This is interesting...

    I was thinking :

    9. Joost van der Westhuizen
    10. Dan Carter
    11. Jonah Lomu
    12. Tana Umaga
    13. Conrad Smith
    14. David Campese
    15. Christian Cullen

  12. Hurricane JD Hurricane

    Sella >>> Smith

Sella had more courage and ticker than any player I have ever seen.

Smith for his part is the best defensive back I have seen in my life. Watching him play at Super XV level is frightening how many tackles he gets through.

  13. Squeaks ZW Poole

Yeah not really sure on that one, I just personally can't go pass Smith for his defence.

I would say Carter and Cullen would be the only ones I wouldn't move on, everyone else is up for debate

  14. Hurricane JD Hurricane

how old are you squeaks? have you seen much 1980s rugby?

  15. Squeaks ZW Poole

Nooo haha, I'm only 18. Earliest rugby I've watched is around 1995

  16. Hurricane JD Hurricane

Then granted Smith is the greatest centre you have seen. I would rate him as the best centre I have seen since the year 2000.

Sella was every thing French. Passion. Spirit. Not necessarily flair. But he had his own charisma. We don't hand out the title of "The Great" to everyone who visits NZ.

  17. Pretzel P Retzel

Campese is really poor. Would take any modern winger over him.

  18. MrPrez CM Dyer

    9 Gregan/Joost
    10 Carter/Wilkinson
    11 Lomu/Robinson
    12 Nonu/Umaga
    13 O'Driscoll/Sella
    14 Habana/Campese
    15 Hastings/Blanco

Off the top of my head.

  19. Starris ER Starris

    9. Joost van der Westhuizen / George Gregan
    10. Dan Carter / as much as it pains me Johnny Wilkinson
    11. Brian Habana / Julian Savea (Think these will swap places before long)
    12. Tana Umaga / Tim Horan
    13. Brian O'Driscoll / Conrad Smith
    14. Campese (He pissed me off for years) / Doug Howlett or Rococococococococ
    15. Christian Cullen / John Gallagher - should never have gone to league

  20. Hurricane JD Hurricane

Love the Gallagher and blanco picks
