Update – 28th minute: Well after 4 tries in the first 8 minutes, for the next 20 we have just seen these two settle back into their games. The Hawks have the ball on 2nd tackle 20 metres out from their own line. It comes to Gemmell who looks to charge forward and he gets stopped just before the 30. Wilson has the ball and he throws it wide to Gayler who passes it on the inside to Vago but it is read well by the defense. It comes back to Wilson he gives it to Tim Taylor…Taylor looks to send it wide…No he dummies and goes himself….he meets Orr in the defense…BUT HE FENDS HIM OFF AND TAYLOR HAS JUST BUSTED THEM OPEN! TIM TAYLOR WITH THE BREAK…HE GETS TO THE 40….HE GETS TO HALFWAY AND JUST THE FULLBACK TO BEAT…HERE COMES BEN TAYLOR IN SUPPORT…HERE COMES BOY…..TAYLOR LOOKS TO PASS…..BUT TAYLOR DUMMIES AND HE FOOLS BOY AND TAYLOR IS RUNNING AWAY…TO THE 30….BOY IS TRYING TO CATCH UP BUT TIM TAYLOR WILL HAVE TOO MUCH SPEED AND TIM TAYLOR SCORES FOR THE HAWKS! What a brilliant individual play by Tim Taylor who has gotten the Hawks back in the game! Shriram making no mistake of this one from under the posts, the Hawks are now just down by a converted try as it is 16-10!

Update – 38th minute: Well, halftime is near and the Hawks have definitely had the better of the 2nd part of this first half. They have the ball 15 metres out from their own line. Cambridge has just had a scoot and is playing it back to Hornby who throws it to Speirs for a hitup and he gets taken down 23 metres out from his own line. The ball is given back to Hornby who gives it to Gayler…who charges at the line himself and he is pulled to the ground just before the 30. 4th Tackle now the ball is given to Tim taylor who throws it to Tyson…Tyson charges forward…at 100 miles per hour!!! OH BUT HE HAS DROPPED IT COLD! What the hell happened there? He hadn’t even been touched it…HOLD ON…ITS PICKED UP BY BOY…PLAY ON SAYS THE REFEREE…THE TEST EAGLES HAVE IT….BOY…THROWS IT TO CHOCOLATE MAN…MAN WITH SPACE…MAN TO THE 15…MAN TOWARDS THE LINE….HE IS GRABBED BY THE DEFENSE….BUT HE IS OVER THE LINE!! CAN HE PUT THE BALL DOWN!?!?!?!? YES YES HE CAN! HE HAS AND IT’S A TRY IT’S A TRY TO THE TEST EAGLES ON THE STROKE OF HALFTIME! What a HUGE blow for the Hawks! Just on halftime Tyson looked to charge with a bit too much enthusiasm and he drops the ball and the Eagles waste no time capitalising! A great run by Man and as Funkotron converts from in front and the siren sounds for halftime, the Test Eagles go into the break with a 22-10 lead. Exactly what the Hawks didn’t want to happen!
