Kurt gidley is up for trade just don't see him doing well in my side. I'm looking for a trade of Gidley + one other for a half + centre don't need any fowards. Will consider other trades aswell
Gidley and Marshall are definitely better than Delaney. Marshall's over-rated and Delaney's under-rated, but that doesn't mean Marshall can't be better than Delaney. I actually don't think Gidley's over-rated at all. If you took a poll and got an average mark of his rating, I reckon it'd be pretty spot on. For every moron who thinks he can seriously play four or five positions at rep standard, there's another moron who think he's absolutely useless. Gidley reminds me heaps of Brett Hodgson tbh. A superb ball-playing club-level fullback who can play a role in the halves at that level if you're desperate, who was found just a little short of the mark as a specialist at rep level. Gidley's a bit better than Hodgson in that he's a little bit bigger and a little bit stronger, so he can actually defend up in the line if he needs to and he doesn't get completely dominated if someone collects him in a kick return.
Wouldn't mind Gidley if we didn't have Minichiello. Would have fitted in with Luck at lock and him at fullback.
