Game of Thrones XV

  1. Howe JHF Howe

    Loosehead prop: Strong Belwas

Take a look at him. Also once wiped his arse with the sigil of a defeated opponent - capable of front row banter

    Hooker: Shea

    :toot:

    Tighthead prop: Biter

A Julian White-esque purveyor of the dark arts up front.

    Lock: Gregor Clegane

    Aptly colossal enforcer.

    Lock: Hodor

Admittedly requires some touchline intervention in order to understand lineout calls.

    Blindside: Sandor Clegane

    Lewis Moody.

    Openside: Bronn

Quick and resourceful and like any good #7, knows that it's not about what the rules are, it's what you can get away with.

    Number 8: Jaime Lannister

    He's got a brilliant hand-off :toot:

    Scrum Half: Petyr Baelish

Positioned such that the men in front do most of his dirty work, and every play pretty much starts off with what he did to wrong-foot the defence.

    Fly Half: Davos Seaworth

Experience and guile. Knows how to get his best players involved in the game.

    Left wing: Khal Drogo

    Bulldozer in the Lomu mould.

    Inside Centre: Oberyn Martell

Possesses the speed and skills to go alone but knows when to move it along to the men outside him. Best defender in the backline.

    Outside Centre: Jon Snow

All-around skills with youth on his side. Deliberately kept out of the tactical positions.

    Right Wing: Loras Tyrell

Gets away with a lack of size through showboaty flair and skill.

    Full Back: Tywin Lannister

Known for playing for territory rather than diving straight into the fray. Gets involved when the team desperately requires it.

  2. Gazza GJ Weaver

    Tyrion at scrum half

  3. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Lacks Syrio Forel. Best footwork of the lot

  4. Weeman27bob BE Force

    Hodor at 8 surely

  5. Captain SSD Dong

Need some Wargs here. Control the opposition players and all.

  6. Phlegm SP Phlegm

Gregor as the new Lomu. He's 8 feet of muscle ffs.

And I thought you hadn't read the books. How do you know about the deleted character in there?

    Ned for loosehead prop.

Get Jaime in the backs somewhere. Greatjon Umber at lock or number eight.

I've got the books and have read most of the bits that are already covered, I just prefer to let the show stay ahead.

    gun call

    1. Hodor -- raw power up front; no need to think.
    2. Tyrion Lannister -- crafty and smart, and used to moving in between people's legs.
    3. Ramsay Snow -- not the biggest, but probably the most evil.
    4. Brienne of Tarth -- height and strength.
    5. Drogon -- as if a Dragon would ever lose a line-out; may give away penalties.
    6. Ned Stark -- honourable and willing to run through walls for the team; the workhorse.
    7. Stannis Baratheon -- channelling black magic down the blindside; perfect.
    8. The Mountain -- huge; will run over everyone and everything when given some space.

    9. Tywin Lannister -- the field marshal of the team; plans and executes every play with military precision.
    10. Ygritte -- quicker than Tywin, fiestier, has afterburners when in space, and is a sharpshooter in front of goal.
    11. Syrio Forel -- tiptoeing down the touchline, dancing his way out of tackles.
    12. Jamie Lannister -- the most 'talented' of them all, but never quite delivered enough to hold down the #10. Can defend.
    13. Salladhor Saan -- used to working outside of others (and the rules); has with all the skills in the book, but you feel you can never quite trust him in a more tactical position.
    14. Jaqen H'ghar -- being able to disappear is a very useful skill out on the wing.
    15. Oberyn Martell -- the crafty one at the back; explosive in attack, solid in defense; backs himself one-on-one against anyone and gets involved exactly when required.

The idea of Tyrion trying to get into scrum poisition with Hodor at #1

  11. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

I'm assuming he means Biter; however he is named as the guy who bites the Hound in the latest ep.

Nah, Strong Belwas is the deleted character, which is a shame tbh. He's a gun and a fantastic choice for the front row.

  13. Killface F van der Westhuizen

    I'd go with:

    1. Hodor
    2. Varys
    3. Robert Baratheon (C)
    4. Gregor Clegane
    5. Mag the Mighty, King of the Giants
    6. Sandor Clegane
    7. Davos Seaworth
    8. Khal Drogo

    9. Tyrion Lannister
    10. Petyr Baelish
    11. Jaqen H'ghar
    12. Jamie Lannister
    13. Stannis Baratheon
    14. Daario Naharis
    15. Oberyn Martell
