Is anything else he's written worth reading? I've only the game of thrones books... not usually very keen on side books of a main series for extra $$ or short stories though

He really likes his hive mind type stuff where ppl die and join a sort of collective...
There is a lot of mind control or dream control where the subject becomes paranoid to the point of killing their own kind/children etc...
I haven't read these by the way...
Apparently some are a bit of a dirge.

Lots of parallels to what we have read such as the comet, children of the forest type races, the others, even some of the same descriptions.

    It warrants consideration.

There are the 3 Dunk and Egg books that are great.

Yeah... all part of the same plot.

There is a chance they are all stuck in the dark ages essentially with a few extra quirks.

We'll have to wait and see.

    When's the next book due?

As for secret Sci-Fi, that just sounds ridiculous. Surely not, not even going to entertain that idea.

If you are prepared to watch hours of you-tube I can post a guys thoughts and he's read them all... some of the theories have nothing to do with Sci-Fi but are quite compelling... he has spent a lot of time on this.

Probably the best I've seen to be honest and the Sci-Fi theories come in much later. Each video is around 10mins.

Actually think I'm more keen for more of the Dunk & Egg stories than the main series now.

  8. Starris ER Starris

Have you read the history book?

  9. 99* JJ Ritchie

Yeah got that. Enjoy flicking through it from time to time.

I'm almost finished the targ kings... flicked through it when I first got it but hadn't finished the books at that point.
Doing it cover to cover now.

It's a good read and if you've read the dunk and egg series it adds a little more to that too.

Yeah, I saw this. Interesting, but I think the ASOIAF legit has magic in the universe.

  12. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Na, is it a GRRM book?

  13. AVA T Delonge

I assume he means The World of Ice and Fire

    HYPE!

Yeah it is... world of ice and fire... goes through the kings, the main houses, history etc etc worth a look if you are an avid fan.

And there is a lot of tricks but not necessarily any magic... ppl haven't told the future as much as told the present/recent past or taken an educated guess and been close.
There does seem to be the ability to communicate from a distance and see things from a distance.

The red witch uses powders and glamours a opposed to actual magic.

We'll have to see I guess.

So beric and catlyn being resurrected from the dead isnt magic?

  19. Mariner CL Warrington

Melissandre birthing a cloud ghost? Bran seeing through trees?

  20. Roaddogg AJ Izett

The starks being wargs etc etc

Theres plenty of magic in this series
