Good to get the win but fmd it was pretty scrappy, especially in the 2nd. Scrums were atrocious. Cruden was pretty off all night in terms of goal kicking and kicking.

Good game - not my favourite test match ever as I think both sides can lift their games. The french kicking game was shocking at times and undoubtedly lost them the game. When you have the ball in your own 22 you don't do an up and under. That was the first time I had seen that tactic in my years of watching. The ABs scored from one of those midfield bombs. The box kicks from the 9 were also a joke. yet the French were good value and might have won had the final pass gone to hand. Read was a beast - but our 6 and 7 were poor and the French 6 and 7 had a field day at the breakdown especially in the first half. Sam Cane will be better for this run - but he cost us a try by falling into Nonu and did a vital knock on when we were on attack. With Ritchie in the team we would have won tonight's game handily and going away at the end. Good goal line defence and vital hit at scrum time with France hot on attack at one point too that proved decisive.
Nah Read had alot of unseen errors. Twice he let Picamoles run over the top and take our ball and twice he got caught lazy running outwide instead of cutting back on an option line. All in the first half alone. Id probably give him a 6.5 out of ten. Also in the second half he gave away a ruck penalty didnt he? Aswell as throwing a couple of half hearted passes I noticed. Was also extremely lazy at clearing out even when they didnt steal our ball.
