I bet he could do a job for us at RB next season

Maybe he doesnt want that Arab Prince getting in, and knowing he'd win the election but couldn't really serve at least he could force a genuine election to keep him out?

  3. loganb JEM Logan

I'd heard the Arab Prince wasn't that bad? Can't remember where from.

  4. loganb JEM Logan

Tbf, that could have been compared with Blatter.

  5. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Yeah but he was backed by Uefa, and more importantly the UK. Could be a last middle finger to the campaign that's caused his world to crash down

  6. loganb JEM Logan

Hmm, I see your point. Though why would it stop the prince from being elected? Are there only certain people who can be elected if he resigns?

  7. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

He was the only other person in the running before last Friday so if he withdrew his name from the ballot it's a 1 man race as long as the vote went ahead as planned

Before the scandal last week Blatter's position was very safe. His allies had no reason to believe that they would need to stand in the election. The initial arrests were made just a few days before the election. I believe that Blatter stood in the election knowing he'd win and would resign just days after just so he and his allies would have more time to mount a proper campaign for whoever they want his successor to be.

    Thank fuck he is gone.

  10. Toolman TR Man

He sounds like an intelligent guy when he talks and looks like a clean cut CEO.

  11. Lukic L Popovic

Brother of the King of Jordan. He's rich as fuck and just a really big football fan. Has no need to be corrupt or any have any shady dealings of the like.

  12. morgieb MC Burridge

$1.01 unless his resignation from FIFA is because he got tipped off about being arrested and wants to avoid it as Heef said. Either way he's guilty.

  13. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Exactly this. He even said the vote will need to take place in a number of months time so candidates can get their shit in order. Would not surprise me if the same people voting for Blatter pool behind the same candidate. Self preservation at its highest

  14. MASTERS S Masters

now that he is finally gone, are Qatar / Russia World cups still locked in ?

  15. Mariner CL Warrington

Telegraph are reporting 1998 was Morocco not France

  19. loganb JEM Logan

The reporters in America are so funny. They're reporting on Blatter and it's just hilarious.

  20. MightyPies DA Alessi

Confirmed that the South Africa bid was involved in the bribery...
