The inspirational leader this is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I'm sure his teammates adore him. <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/K7gyhiRGG40?hl=en_US&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/K7gyhiRGG40?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Would you say that Messi was regarded as the world's best for so long because he had to dig his team out? I honestly think it's just a case of the big fish standing out in a small pond. Yeah, obviously just in match situations. For instance I imagine you could make a fairly good compilation of Cristiano Ronaldo free kicks from 40 yards out heading into the stands. While his strike rate from that range is undoubtedly fantastic and borderline unbelievable, is it really a better option to do that all the time rather than putting in a cross? Adel Taarabt is probably the player I'd put out as the most extreme example of this. He's undoubtedly done some fantastic things, but the rubbish attempts he's had before are bordering on stupid. On that note, everybody watch these two clips of the captain of our local team..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW58_jcy1Y8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2KNjVqRdy4
Messi was so well regarded because the Spanish press and Sepp Blatter love him more than Ronaldo. Which has a knock on effect to the rest of the press and then the general public. Well it is a better option if there are more goals coming from that than crosses. In Zlatan's case (and to be fair, the same with Suarez) it's more likely to produce a goal. With Ronaldo, maybe not, but he scores enough to make it worthwhile anyway.
No but you can see the list here- http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/bal...02/26/03/04/fboaward_mencoach2013_neutral.pdf

Find it so weird how Zlatan's obnoxious behaviour is seen as great but if Ronaldo, Suarez or whoever, do the same, it's seen as bad.
Eds and logan both have a point. Whatever you want to say Zlatan v Suarez is bloody close but it's all been horribly argued. Eds, why are we only comparing league goals?
My entire point is that it's close and not nearly as big a gulf as logan said. I don't care which way people go but he obviously exaggerated and was obviously wrong.
