Fearless Predictions for 2013

    We're not that far away from footy now after a long boring cricket season.
    Before views get skewed by trial form which generally means squat, what are everyone's predictions for the season ahead?

    I reckon that Newcastle and Brisbane will be 1st and 2nd at the halfway point of the season. Bennett has a history of starting seasons very well and Brisbane are probably the most athletic side in the comp meaning that they are more likely to win early in the season when teams don't have combinations built up.

    Penrith to avoid the spoon, but only just, being 14th or 15th.
    Sharks to barely make the 8, if at all.
    Parramatta to still be shithouse.
    Dragons to miss the 8.

    He's a fair bit better than he used t be, and Shaun Johnson has the power to create and destroy worlds. I don't think it'll be a huge issue for them, especially with Mateo being so creative on the fringes as well. All Maloney was really doing when he was in good form was backing up well and getting his kicking game right; Leuluai doesn't need to do much more than that.

    Nth Qld will start slowly, get destabilised by Thurston leaving, then come home with a wet sail, finish in 6th and go no further than the 2nd week of the finals.

    So much of their season rests on Inglis. If he doesn't play at least 80% of the games they're just another Broncos/Dragonsesque squad. Solid but lack class in the spine.

    With Inglis there though I reckon they'll make the 8.
