Pretty much, yes. Allstars also did that, although they were good pre-folding as well so it wasn't as weird.
A lot of their members at the time were really busy and not posting much, so the subforum was dead. A lot of them liked the idea of going to another side, but they couldn't face the thought of playing against the Allstars, so they folded and agreed to re-form later when more of them had time to contribute to the subforum.
I've just never really seen much point in posting anything in there that could be shared on the open forum.
