    Santa is a personal favourite and will be usable in this, but weirdly it'll be CPL overrating his batting while underrating his bowling (and even ill admit he isn't a great wicket taking spinner).

    Depends what you consider "regular" and "decent", I guess, but there are some players from the top eight Test sides who played in their country's last Test and still haven't been picked.

    Yeah I'm not thinking of guys like Crawley etc. Without checking, Santner probably plays 80%+ of the tests for a side who were ranked #2 a few weeks ago. There's probably another guy with 5+ appearances in the last year who I'm missing though.

    What I think is interesting about Santner is I don't necessarily disagree with him being a New Zealand regular, or with him not going in the first 16 rounds of this. The two verdict can both be correct at the same time.

    Yeah he was part-time even before that, he's kept before.

    At the end of the draft you'll get an assistant coach's report with info like that. If you can find evidence (a scorecard, or stats with stumpings) of someone keeping in a game CPL hasn't counted I'll make them part-time (but terrible) as well.

    One example was Phlegm finding a scorecard with Henry Nicholls keeping in a domestic one dayer.

    I laughed at this, and it's true, but you just picked a player because he has averages 70 with the bat in the Ahmad Shah Abadli Cup.

    On the other hand, even though it was your team too you started the post with "Dan picks..." as to distance yourself from that particular pick. :laugh:
