Yeah, totally fair. I was going to snaffle him if he was there in 16-17. Genuinely terrific player who's probably let down by a dreadful domestic cricket structure.

  2. morgieb MC Burridge

Morgan going the pick before him probably pulled my hand a bit, I was leaning towards picking him instead for that pick. Though Pooran being able to keep probably helps my squad balance more.

Yeah WI structure really sucks. Quite a few guys who are real talents that fell through the cracks or were plain mishandled.

  3. Baxter MJ Deane

Yeah, but that's not surprising as they're both incredibly young. Steketee less so.

  4. Baxter MJ Deane

I mean, Bavuma, Burns and Hazlewood all made their Test debuts since then

  5. Benny BS Read

    WAC Howe. Wanted Morgan

  6. GoodAreasShane S Thexton

Gannon's action is so horrendous it should be banned under the Geneva convention

  7. Chewie JA Chewie

26 innings, though the 6 FC ones were 5+ years ago so won't count for much

  9. Skippos SM Morgan

May well have made the worst pick of the draft there but given we need 2.5 keepers apparently, might as well take the risk for the 'in-case-of-emergency' keeper

  10. Dan DB Wayne

    You bastard.

Faulkner and McCullum were on my list to justifiably be vetoed by Howe

  12. Howe JHF Howe

I am much happier with dodgy picks who I know are good players than dodgy picks from the cricket archive's colon tbf.

As my latest idea suggests. Check discord

mccullum hasn't kept full time since 2009 or so. you're screwed.

  14. morgieb MC Burridge

I'm pretty sure McCullum didn't even do it part-time after giving up the full-time gloves. And that was a long time ago.

I guess he's probably borderline a worthwhile pick with the bat?

  15. StephenZA S Marais

de Villers had not been a wicket keeper for years when he took over for SA... you either have it or you don't. McCullum is as least good enough to be called a part timer.

Whether he should have been picked with his last FC match being 4 years ago.. that is something else.

  16. Alex AJ O'Driscoll

Had my eye on McCullum as a back up keeper/opener for round 17 or 18. Skippos WAC

  17. Athlai JJD Heads

McCullum at best should've gone R18

  18. morgieb MC Burridge

Yeah I don't think he was a good enough player in his prime to go right now, especially given he stopped keeping for fitness reasons. The only real saving grace is that he was still playing up until quite recently, but even that was T20's....

  19. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Can understand the McCullum pick. Don't see it working though.

  20. Skippos SM Morgan

Yeah I don’t plan on him playing much. Figure if he keeps I’m boned anyway, he’s not a backupC he’s a deputy backup. Sure his batting will be nerfed but just hoping he’d be a not dreadful reserve bat. I reckon if he played now he’d be okay
