Last time around we had plenty of players to spare with more drafters than we have now. I can name two current test cricketers who were established fc players in the previous draft who didn't get picked.
Only thing I'd suggest if doing retentions is to modify when they're retained. Eg it seems pretty cunty if I got to retain Tom Latham in the 10th round.

Man, I still have a txt file with a few players I had shortlisted for the last draft. Had Yasir Shah right ahead of Pushpakumara in my spinners list, who I picked in R11. Prez got to him first sadly. Would've been one of the few late round picks that would be first rounders now.
My draft was so odd last time. Pick up two of the best 5 or so batsmen in the world today with 2nd and 3rd rounders, and my R17/18 picks would be worth picks around 20-50 today (so late 1st round to early 3rd round or so), yet all my middle picks look pretty ordinary.
Why? It's been 2 years and the last one didn't even feature 1 proper season game. There's no reason to continue with something that never started.
Sorry for the lack of communication. There's just a couple of adjustments to be made before we can get moving on this. He's prioritising main cricsim atm so once it's getting into gear we can kick start. No retention policy as yet. I'm in favour of two max. There are a couple of guys who played previous seasons who iirc haven't indicated interest in this thread too.
