Starting to get some sort of shape into the XI.

  3. Julian BJ Taylor

Interesting that Symonds went so early.

  4. Luffers JRE Luffman

I was hoping for him later on!

  5. Baxter MJ Deane

Yeah, I rate him. Needed an allrounder, 260 FC wickets at 36. Good enough for me.

  6. Baxter MJ Deane

Obviously his batting goes without saying :p

I've somehowm managed to confuse myself, I've not really gone the best way about the draft.
I've kinda developed a policy where I'm trying to pick better versions of players I picked last time, rather than pick the best players
More than confident I can make it up in the later rounds though.

    ****ing filthy Australian ****s.
Need to stop picking them :p
Looking for a swing attack :p
Will pick up my spinner either next round or the one after.

  9. Ged GEC King

McDonald will surely bat above 8. FC average nearing 40.

  10. Baxter MJ Deane

Yeah, he'll probably bat 7 with a keeper who can catch at 8.

Just secured the signing of arguably the best domestic batsman in the world.
    I'm happy.

  12. kingdamo DRP Taylor

    **** you, I wanted Ramps :P.

  13. Farny AP Farnsworth

And arguably the least mentally equipped to deal with such a high-pressure tournament batsman :p

  14. Baxter MJ Deane

You were never going to get him that low down in the order for round 7.
My only worry was to leave him an extra round and hope that none of Benny -
    Speirz -
    Stormer + Farhat -
    Freddy -
    Boobidy -
    Heath + Fung -
    Incey -
took him with their next 2 picks each. Couldn't gamble it IMO.

You mean a high domestic level tournament.
Remember CPL is somewhere between FC and Test, Ramps is soo suited for this it's untrue.

  16. Farny AP Farnsworth

Haha, that's what I said. At this stage in the draft I do think he's a great pick - I nearly took him myself. I just thought it was too hit or miss...the thing with him is that because how many runs he scores is limited by his mentality rather than his skill level, it was too dependent on Rob's interpretation of whether he'd crack or not. Didn't want to risk it.

Ramps today >>>> Ramps in his last test.
If he fails; on my head be it.
I just don't think h will, in fact I'm backing him to outscore a fair few of the Test batsmen.

  18. Luffers JRE Luffman

    I wanted Ramps ya bastard!

  19. Baxter MJ Deane

So ****ing excited now. Squad is starting to take shape. I know exactly what direction I'm heading in. Gun!

  20. Baxter MJ Deane

Yet another terrific batsman added to the squad in the form of Badrinath.
