    @ marcus!

Nah, doubt match fixing tbh, highly unlikely, although report seems almost too good tbh.

Tell me why you'd want to watch it though? If it's a good game, fair enough, but there is too much diving, over reacting and general pansy-ness in it now. 5 years ago I loved it, but that love turned to dislike pretty quick cos of the constant diving and stuff going on. Drogba was pretty pathetic really, even though you can comprehend why he did it, he's paid too much money a week to act like that, at least conduct yourself with some dignity.

Sorry, I'll have to disagree here.

Chelsea went into a defensive mentality when Essien scored on 9 minutes.

While Barcelona did dominate possession for the remainder of the match, Chelsea let them do so. Chelsea went on the counter-attack whenever they could and basically shut down Barcelona effectively. All of Barcelona's attacks were defended extremely well. Barcelona's players were closed down all over the field.

At one point in the match, the shot count was 11 to Barcelona with 0 on target, which tells you that while Barcelona had the possession; they couldn't utilise it effectively against a strong Chelsea defence and were forced to basically shoot from afar.

This was the story of the match and I think that Barcelona never really looked like scoring for the entire game before Iniesta's goal.

By then, however, Chelsea should've been 4-0 up had Mr. Tom Ovrebo not been officiating.

If I believed the conspiracy theory, I would actually agree with this.

However, I'm not fully sold on it; despite all the evidence pointing towards it.

very much agree with this. barca had one shot on taget the whole game!

Yeah, and they took it perfectly. Chelsea should've buried them earlier on in the game, and ruled out any chance of a Barca win, but that wasn't the case, and that one shot on target, is what gets them through to the final.

I lol'd so hard when Chelsea had gone out. Especially considering they didn't actually lose any games!!

That's a stupid way to look at it IMO. Iniesta's goal went in by pure fortune (although so did Essien's), so you can't say "oh yeah Chelsea should've buried it earlier" because they WOULD HAVE had justice been served.

  11. MightyPies DA Alessi

Yeah, exactly. But i'm just saying, if they had taken some of the chances they had, the game would've been put beyond reach of Barca. But if the ref called the penalties that should've been called. It would've been done and dusted, and we wouldn't still be talking about this game.

  12. Lukic L Popovic

I've seen this happen so many times, with teams complaining, oh, we didn't get this penalty and they scored but they should've been buried etc etc, but I think it's bullshit. Buried or not buried, you're winning anyway and a win is a win if it stays the same.

I've even said one bad call in RL can go as far as costing you the game, and then donks come on and call me an idiot.

Here isn't much different, sure Chelsea were holding on, but the game is put away if they get 1 of those 2 blatant penalties. This is deadset robbery. Even more so with the last minute goal, away goals but you can't say Chelsea could've put it to bed earlier. They played just about perfectly.

Whatever, in my prespective, Platini as always said, English Clubs must not dominate football, and hopefully..er..I mean unfortunately, we were on the wrong side and duh, got screwed. XD I hope this doesnt be the same in finals, btw EPL > Any other league, Platini is jealous.

  14. MightyPies DA Alessi

I follow more of the Serie A than i do of the EPL, but to be honest, i would have to say EPL is the best league in the world. Hopefully the 6+5 rule comes in.

  15. SuperNova SJ Nova

    6+5 rule is ridiculous tbh.

Forcing clubs to have to make team selections based on nationality? Ridiculous.

  16. Hybrid A Kolar

I am completely against the 6+5 rule. It will destroy football.

Clubs should be able to field talent no matter what nationality.

Lol there can't be a single Arsenal fan who is for that rule :p

They have to bring in some sort of ruling though, at least to have x amount of English players in the overall squad, because the England national team is really suffering.

  19. Hybrid A Kolar

WTF, no it isn't. England had one ****-up and missed the Euros because of Steve McClown.

Everybody is overreacting. The national team is ****ing excellent tbh and has excellent depth. Furthermore, they are top of their group in the World Cup qualifiers.

  20. Lukic L Popovic

I remember the day where you could only have 3 foreign players in your 11 and bench.

    Ridiculous.

Maybe 3 English players in your line-up max.
Why should clubs be victimised for nurturing foreign talent?

Sure it helps the development, but I think 2nd division, championship etc etc will develop players fine and when they become big enough stars, who are worthy of being in the national team, they'll be bought by the big clubs.
