Driving down to Manchester tonight to try and get tickets for the Juve game
So bloody excited for the first matchday. My best mate's coming around at 6am, gonna watch PSV v United, then if we feel like it, possibly the Madrid game #whatalife
Won't be watching since BeIn Sports got the rights to it this year here in Aus. I used to be a subscriber to this absolute joke of a channel back when they were originally Setanta. They only show 1 of the 8 games today live (Manchester United vs PSV) and their channel is Standard Definition only. On top of that their channel has been known to drop connection midway through games. Was much better when ESPN had the rights.
Reckon Citeh might do over the Old Lady tonight, even without Aguero.
I dont think you will have a problem getting any tickets mouse
Forgot they get 1 live game. They showed 1 game live/day last year too but it was always one that ESPN was showing anyway. Blinded by my absolute hate of BeIn/Setanta. Furious that they've gone backwards in terms of viewing and availability in Aus by giving them the rights. Gone from 2 live games a day + all the rest on delay (all in HD) to having to pay an extra $20 a month to get 1 live game a day, some replays (all in standard definition).
Fucking Setanta....they were all the rage in the U.K a couple of seasons back. They are a fucking terrible channel/broadcaster.
Memphis apparently saying he will celebrate if he scores against PSV. :P
Wonder who will play stiker. Fellaini/Martial potentially but I read that Young apparently doesn't mind playing #9 if LvG is willing to start him there.
I feel LvG might be averse to starting Martial but it would be so gun if he starts.
Should i get tickets for Athletico v benfica next wedensday?> 40 euros...
Hells to the yeah, sounds like a good evening that. Really wanna go to a European match, the German atmosphere sounds better though.
Given I paid about $160-$220 (about 100-140 euros) each for 4 pre-season games, i'd definitely pay 40 euro to go to a Champions League game.
That sounds crazy, who charges that much?
The first match was Brisbane vs Liverpool at Suncorp Stadium. Match was organised and ticketing was done by Liverpool though as far as I know. Next 3 were the International Champions Cup comp in Melbourne (Real Madrid, Roma and Manchester City). Not sure who was in charge of prices for that. I'm just assuming the prices were so high because these clubs very rarely come to Aus and if we want to go see them any other time we would quite literally have to travel to the other side of the world.
Every ticket I ever buy now seems like it costs nothing after the World Cup.
Pretty pissed about this new BT Sport deal. Firstly BT Sport is shit when it comes to football, secondly it's set me back £310 for the year on top of what I pay (read leach off my rents) for the full Sky Package. All this European Competition Commission bullshit started this
Agree so much
Oh dear. Doesn't look good for Shaw. He's been so good since coming back from his injury troubles. Devo
Pictures on Twitter. Season definitely over.
