Looking forward to Cribb fighting off the hordes of plastic paddies. What Australian doesn't have Irish heritage? Might be an easier list.

  2. Skippos SM Morgan

    cribb to pursue this

    1. Do you have significant ties to Ireland/Scotland/Wales/Cornwall/Isle of Man/Brittany (birthplace/residency/heritage)? Yes. My fathers parents are Irish.
    2. Would you have pledged your allegiance to the Celtic Nations when you joined CricSim if it was an option? Yes
    3. Would you leave your current province to play for the Celtic Nations, given the chance, for reasons other than competition for places? No

Cribb has already given me a no :(

  5. brettman135 BR Hall

Legit. Not quite sure what part however, shall try and work it out.

  6. Callum CJ Laing

They actually bother splitting the Isle of Man into parts? :troll:

    Eligible, but Victoria >>> Ireland.

  8. brettman135 BR Hall

None of my friends have even heard of it.

Get those shunts watching the Commonwealth games.

    Clueless individuals.

The two Australians clearly most proud of thier Irish heritage are Paddy and Hunter, and neither of them wanted to change. This is even despite that they're not in the New South Wales or Queensland sides currently. This will definitely be taken into account as a point of reference if others want to change.

fark paddy would have been nice.

Should take Wales out IMO. When it comes to cricket, the ECB is actually the England and WELSH cricket board. When playing for the England side, you represent (among other things) the English and Wels Cricket Board (the ECB) therefore to make the England team more realistic, IMO you should take Wales out of the option for being part of the Celtic Province.

Well on CricSim you aren't representing the ECB, it is England the country. There is more of a valid point about Cornwall, but in the end of the day it comes down to who they feel most attached to. Provinces on here aren't solely about cricket either, they apply on the other sims too.

Yeah I guess so. I just thought that we were trying to make it as close to real life as possible, with the CricSim (as the URL suggests) being the main focus of simmage on the site. But i guess it's down to you and Cibb and what people want. Was just throwing it out there as something to think about tbh. Hang really thought about other sims either really :p

Realistic in terms of competition structure (players not being able to play 2 games on the same day etc) and my ruling out talk of simming averages and post ranks and what have you.

When it comes to provinces it's entirely different.

NSW, QLD, NZ, Britain etc are all basically states on an Island called CricSim.
NSW and Britain also have smaller regions, namely NSW City, NSW Country, England and Celtic Provinces.

ATM the Celtic Provinces don't have a strong enough side to be admitted to the PC so their players are available for selection for Britain (kinda like Wales playing for England, only Wales aren't trying to eventually break away).

Ah right, never actually thought of it like that. Or realised that that's what it's based on.
    Cheers bro.

There has been 1 or more done before. Although it would look a bit different now I dare say with the new provinces coming in lately.
